I was driving to Austin the other morning, and a ladder fell off a truck and landed right in front of me. I couldn't stop in time, so I ran right over it, lost control of the car for a second, fishtailed and the rear bumper ran into a concrete barrier wall. Scared the crap out of me.

Of course, it's also a brand new car, so now I have to go through the headache of an insurance claim, and my rate will go up, dang it >: (

Ouch!

Well I've never hit anything that hard but I accidentally ran over a box of frozen chickens that fell out of a truck that crashed...

I also hit a mattress once.

Myself. I was driving my ex's pickup and had it in neutral, but didnt have the brake on. I got out of it for a few minutes and when I looked back at it, it was rolling so I started running after it. Got the door open and was just about to jump in when it swerved to the left and knocked me to the ground. Gave me a concussiion and broke my shoulder then I almost got run over by another car as I was laying in the middle of the highway trying to get up. I couldnt see cuz blood was gushing out of my head and my glasses and eyes were covered with it. That's the last damn time I chase a car, dont know why dog's do it, cuz it aint fun.

I was in Pennslyvania the other day, just getting ready to leave back to New York. Mind you, it was around 8:00pm. I'm driving down the highway and the next thing I know, there goes a deer. my car hits it and it's like the whole front part of the deer exploded. I get out of my car, the car is fine but the deer parts, can't see them anywhere. I even stopped my car and looked around but still no where. The worst night EVER! >:(

Man! I hope they let you keep the ladder, you know if a car falls off one of those car carriers in front of you and you hit it, you're allowed to keep the car...
I one time hit a possum nursing her young, and friends of mine following in the car behind me said she flew in the air and spun like a top before coming back down and landing on their windshield. I could hear them screaming from my car. It then tried dragging its lifeless body to safety, and its liver and kidneys fell out of its abdomen onto the road. My friend "put it out of its misery" by swiftly killing it. I cried the whole way home :-(

I also backed into a telephone pole once, a long time ago... I'm not a very good driver.

I hit a homeless man in a box. Seriously. He had been sleeping under an overpass, somehow gotten out onto the freeway, and a bunch of people hit the box, including me. I didn't know what was in the box at the time, but heard on the news later, called the number....it was horrible.

Wow, sorry to hear that! What a heart break! At least you didn't get hurt. Sadly, the law says you must have your car under control at all times. Hitting road debris is not considered an act of God as is hitting a deer. I hit a dead bear in the road one night. The night was black, the road was black and the bear was black and I didn't see it. Since the bear was already dead, it was considered road debris and I was at fault. Bummer. Just wrecked the underneath of my car!

That sucks. I was driving on the interstate and the big rig in front of me lost his the rubber off his tire and it whipped up and landed right on my hood right of my car so I had no time to stop or swerve out of the way.

When I was fifteen years old, my father took me out to learn how to drive. We were in a residential area and the speed limit was 20. I was going very slow because there were children everywhere. Well, at one point, I noticed one child who didn't see me or my car, so I just stopped the car. Well, the liitle boy was on a skateboard on his stomach, in the street, and he rode right into my car. He got up, rubbed his head and gave me a dirty look like it was my fault. His parents never came out to see what happened and he was fine. (I wasn't!)

That sucks, I don't remember running over anything but potholes and I did scrape the side of my car a few times on poles or trees I was trying to park next to.
