Office Depot has some of the best selections of cards, I suggest you get a pack that includes an access point and cards. http://www.dnsserverlist.org has some settings and instructions for setting up your wireless

if you already have an ethernet modem then you just need a wireless router to plug into the modem and your all set!

Depending on your built-in, you may not need anything at all. My cards internally have all it takes already...ditto the above website, compare with what you have, THEN buy!
