Because I am HIV+. and like to remind myself everyday that i am and will continue to be a survivor.

It stems from my fascination with this little 5 min cartoon about 'The Great Shillelagh' which was a bloody great club that chased all the snakes out of Ireland. Random, I know. :)

It was a nickname in school. Some guy asked me recently what my nickname was and when I told him he said "Oh,man, that is so 'HOT'", so I said, hey, he is either a closet gay, or he likes it rough. I didn't think it was hot, but I thought it might throw some off of the trail. It works.
