Lebron James at this point is better. Pierce is close to entering the downside of his prime and ran into some pretty serious injury issues this year for the first time in his career. They're different types of players and they're both great, but Pierce, even at his best (with Walker by his side) was never able to take the Celtics as far as the Cavs have gone this year.

I say Lebron James hands down.
James is looked at one of the top 3 players in the NBA today. A number of teams I hear on interviews talk about limiting James never talk about trying to stop him or shut him down. That shows teams fear him.
Nobody fears Pierce anymore. Some teams talk about bringing the second man to double team and they can take him out of his game even shut him down.
I believe James is the second best player in the NBA. Pierce doesn't even make my top 15.

I don't know that it's a fair comparison, but I'd have to say based on skill alone it would be Lebron. Pierce is good and he's been trying to carry Boston for a while, but he's on the downslide of his career (wasted one I might add) since Boston has incompetent managers. They're both great players, but if I had to pick, I'd take Lebron.

lebron is way better even in paul pierce days when he came into the nba he wasnt that good. LJ is better hands down theres no contest to that.

Of course Lebron, You see what he is doing, he takes his team to Finals. What Pierce is doing, he is acting like a injured player to do not to play. He is not happy with Celtics. He wants his trade. LEBRON IS BETTER.
