I think it's more about context than immaturity. "Am I pregnant?" could be a valid question from a freaked out 12-year old. It could also be a valid joke from a 48 year old.
Our problem is, we don't know in which context to view the question, otherwise we'd be ok with either.

There is too much vulgarity on here for 11-17 year olds.
They need a Yahoo! Teen site

Against it. Adult only all over the place. Have met some really nice younger people on here. Want to help and have fun with all. Kids are already seperated from adults in most daily things. If I want adults only, I'll go somewhere else.

I would be for Yahoo Answers being available for adults only. When I was a child I wasn't allowed to do much. Today they are everywhere. Everything today is made kid friendly. I find it disgusting that you can walk through a casino and loose count of the amount of strollers parked at a slot machine.

against. but there would be NO way of that EVER happening. because people lie about themselves ALL the time on the internet. its easy....they would just do that, ESPICALLY the pre - teens....grrrrr........BUT again, on SOME catagories i think it should just be 18 or even 19 +.....like the pregnancy, cause the stupid little pre teens ALWAYS ask , "i just had sex with my bf and i think i might be pregnant, am i?" OMG, we cant tell if u are or arent....GO to the DOC! lol

Against it and For it...
Against it because I like giving advice to kids that are going through what I went through... I had to figure out stupid simple things for myself; I didn't know about a site like this, younger generations do, and I like being able to help them out.
Now, I'm For it because sometimes little teenagers can be really immature and stupid. But, like I saw someone else say, a 21 year old can be just as stupid as a 16 year old. If not worse.
Over all, I'm against it.
Added: Like one girl said, I think there should be an age limit... like 13+... just not 18+

I think that Yahoo should have three sections. One for the kids and the other two should be split up for the adults. One section could be for the adults who enjoy things having to do with an adult nature and the other section for the adults who don't enjoy all of the graphical adult situational type of questions. That way things would run ten times smoother and better then what they are running right now.

I think tht we would be against adults on yahoo answers. cuz like more than half of them are rapest and sex affenders. We just dont know. I just want a place only were kids can chat, without worrying if an adult may do something to us.

against. It wouldn't be fair. Youngers have a right to information between people as olders do. I'm 29. Some of the younger people aren't immature and don't abuse Y!A. so, they are fine with me.

against and i am for. I think kids 13+ should be able to answer questions or ask them. i'm against the whole 18 thing but i'm for a age limit also i just dont think the age should be 18.
