Yes. For one thing parents look at girls as their innocent "babies" and should therefore not be having sex until they're married. If I guy has sex, its like he becomes a man, which every parent wants their son to become. Also, a girl can get pregnant whereas a guy cant. Sure the guy may have to pay child support, but the girl has to put her entire life on hold for a while to have the kid. And if she decides to abort it, it could leave guilt or emotional as well as physical scars for the rest of her life! It sucks because it just as much the guys fault as it is the girls if she becomes pregnant. And single mothers are looked down upon more than single dads. Also, if a girl gets pregnant in her teens, some people automatically assume shes a whore but nobody seems to label the father in any way.
Theres also that little saying "Boys will be boys" that excuses most of the behavior that boys do.

Yes. But there is no denying it that the parents of teen boys are also worried about their son having sex. If the parents found out that their son had sex, they'll be worried how it happened, was it a rape or a relationship, how old the girl is, the responsibility of being a father if the girl did have a baby, the chances of finding a job to support the family, and of course, meeting the parents of the girl. Vice versa also for parents of teen girls.

I would say yes its truly wrong. If a guy sleeps with a lot of girls he’s a hero. Girl sleeps with a lot of guys she’s a *****. Plus girls can get pregnant grant it takes two to make a baby. Many times teenfathers do not stick around and it is the girl who has to go through pregnancy without her baby daddy, even raise the baby if she choose to keep it.

Even most movies that have a theme of teen pregnancy the teen father is often not in the picture or is at first but decides he cant handle it and bail. Lifetime did a movie a few years ago where the teen father was actual the one to step up to the plate and care for the child. I’m sure that happens sometimes but its probably very rare.

I have a 10 week old son and I can honestly say that I am already extremely worried about him having sex when he's a teenager, I know it's far away but it still worries me with the world today, and when hes a teenager omg they'll be having sex even earlier with the way things are going these days. I'd worry regardless of if I had a girl or a boy, but I had a boy and I am no less worried about it at all and I dont care what anyone says. All Parents Should Worry About Their CHILDREN having sex, PERIOD!

I do think parents worry more about the girls because their daughters can get pregnant.

I am pregnant with a little girl right now, but my husband has a son from a previous relationship, and if he starts living with us when the time comes that he wants to start having sex, I'm going to worry just as much because he may get a girl pregnant. So I think it really depends on it.

More so I think it's the fathers that worry more about their daughters having sex rather than the boys. Because the fathers want the girls to remain daddy's little girl forever.

If you respect your teens and have always been open about sex and the consequences, you shouldn't be worried more about girls than boys.
Of course you didn't raise the one they are dating, but if you teach them to respect their bodies and set their boundaries and as well show them that in your every day living, they'll have a good example handling those situations.
Don't be embarrassed when the have questions you think are weird or maybe even gross, if you explain your opinion, they'll hear it from you. They'll find their answers elsewhere, some you may not approve off.
So it's all a matter of respecting each other.

Probably. Fair or not, if a girl gets pregnant the impact on her life is going to be much more severe than the impact on the boy's life. Throw into the equation the fact that teen guys have runaway hormones and are often predatory in nature, it becomes an natural worry. Considering that, it is logical that a parent would be extra concerned about their girls.

I am equally concerned about teenage boys as teenage girls. Some Teenage boys can be impulsive and not think about consequences. There are several things to worry about with boys as well as girls. We naturally worry about the possibility of early parenthood and disease in both cases. I worry about teenage boys not being mature enough to understand the word "NO". There are different concerns because of sex roles in society but I believe that my worry is balanced between the two but for different reasons.

you'd better bet it. If the guy sleeps around, he's a player, a role model and hero for other boys, a 'man'. If a girl sleeps around, she's a wh*re, a sl*t, a disgrace, and looked down upon.

Some people claim that teenage guys have raging hormones. SO DO TEENAGE GIRLS.

Some people say that it's a man's nature to try to impregnate as many girls as possible. HELLO!!! On the other end of that, it's a girl's nature to sleep with as many men as possible because theoretically the sperm with the best genetics is the one that will make it.

And, obviously, the girl is the one that gets pregnant and has to deal with it the rest of her life no matter what.
