Computers and cell phones have been out for about the same amount of time, around the 1980's, so why is one so expensive while the other is so cheap? Wouldn't it stand to reason that computer prices *should* drop drastically? I mean, my favorite cell phone will only cost me maybe $200.00 USD (phone cost and service plan included) while a good high end computer will cost you anywhere from $2 ,000 - $5,000 USD(+ internet costs). This is insane and it's way beyond time for it to change! If people now are so technologically advanced, then why can't we make all computers for less? Who else feels this way about technology?

the real high end cell phones with no contract are still really expensive.. like side kicks.. look into it. i think they deserve to be expensive, a lot of work was put into making them.. and if a person really wants one, then they will pay whatever the asking price is.

I agree but I'm not surprised. Everything is outrageously high these days.
