Is Direct Factory Outlets (DFO) Homebush far from Sydney's city center? Are there any better or other DFO in sydney?

quite far from the city if you're taking the public transport. Get on the train to Strathfield and take the 525 bus. That takes you straight to DFO.
Birkenhead is closer to the city. There's a bus from the city to Birkenhead. Check www.sydneybuses.info

It would be about a 25minute drive. Public transport access to DFO is not ideal. An alternative factory outlet shopping mall is Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre which is about 15minutes from the city in Drummoyne.

Homebush is about 20km west of the city. It is where the Olympic stadium is. There are good train services to Homebush so getting there is not a problem. There are other factory outlets around Central Station in Foveaux St and also in Redfern.
