My youngest is starting school this year and I would like to get back to working. I have been a stay-at-home Mom for a while and lost some of my working skills. A displaced mom is what I think they call it. I can't afford to go to school for 4 years. Any ideas?

Go to a temporary service. They will give you the opportunity to try different things and if you don't like one...they will send you to another. You get to freshen up your skills until some employer out there will see your worth and snatch you up!

Do you have any temp agencies in your area? You get free training there to brush up on skills. I've worked temps anywhere from a factory packaging candles to high end banquet serving. Mine were only 1-5 day gigs, but I got a lot of great experiences out of them.

If your interested try the fun jobs that don't take a huge amount of skills....check with nurseries in your area, plant nurseries! Try for a job at a clothing store you like.
