if you don't have someone to help, it frequently works to have the engine running, hold the switch with one hand, and slam the door hard with the other, and as before, get it repaired before using again, but sometimes the wires and/or the switch go bad with a driver's door, that is the one used the most.

Had the same problem on my Mom's 94 Lesabre passenger door....sometimes what works is to pound on the inside door trim panel in the area where the power window motor is located while you're working the switch....if it's a poor connection from the harness to the motor, it may let you operate the motor briefly---worked on her car. Could also be bad wiring or bad switch...sometimes the wires from the front edge of the door to the body get cracked/frayed and operate intermittently---try wiggling or moving the wires gently while you operate the switch. If the motor is bad, all you can do is try to raise the glass with your hands while operating the switch---a little at a time .....and get the motor replaced soon.

Press the switch and have someone grab that bit of exposed glass and pull. Sometimes that will allow the motor to move the glass up. It worked for me years ago. Once up leave it there and get it fixed right away. You may need to repreatedly press the switch while pulling to get it to move.
