In the cupboard next to the butter. I dont like clutter! The only thing on my table is flowers. There is nothing on the back of the stove. When it is time to eat, is when the salt n pepper come out.

Mine sits on top of my toaster oven which is next to the stove. People don't usually feel the need to add more salt and pepper to my food, so it doesn't really need to be on the table.

Our salt has been put away. I do not cook with it at all. The children are doing better health wise since I did this....
The pepper is in the cabinet on top of the stove.....

Mine is typically set on the microwave. It would be on the stove, but the one in our town house is slanted, so it would fall off.

Table -- since people like to use different levels of salt, I prefer to allow them to do it themselves. Exceptions are some meats, which need the salt before cooking. Or pasta water.
