why are these questions just like the movies?

some of them you put alot of effort, energy, and passion into, making them crisp, original, and refreshing, and well drawn out......but they only get a couple unsatisying mild responses...


while other questions are nothing but obnoxious nonsensical incoherent mumblings or stupidity......and they get a huge following and vote of approvement, with many many wonderful answers and responses???

Hmmm. I see... well, it is because people like the nonsensical questions and can easily think up an answer. Whereas when the question is thoughtful and requires thought, people tend to stay away...
Basically, we're lazy nonthinkers with perverted minds that can make things make sense out of everything.

Well honestly, think of your audience. How many people get online for decent reasons? The top 3 reasons for internet usage are Porn, e-mail, and internet gaming...now think of out of that group, who is going to give you a decent, educated, well thought out answer. By reading posts here, i would say that well over 50% of them are complete bs, both the questions and the answers, and a good 25% are serious responses but not good ones 15% are with good intent, but wrong...so only about 10% are actually good, educated answers that are thought out with consideration.

sometimes when you post a question the site maybe busy so your question quickly goes down the list before anyone can get a chance to read it( i only look at the first page of questions) also it helps when people make sense of what your asking and don't mumble on like you. also a sensible question tends to get peoples attention unlike yours. what do you mean? " why are these questions just like movies?" you haven't even explained what you mean because i haven't a clue what your question has to do with movies. no wonder people don't answer your questions, there long, drawn out, boring waste of times. still i enjoyed typing this rant.

I think that it's all about timing. I wish that questions featured at the bottom would constantly rotate. They only show the most recent ones. If you have a lot of people who ask questions at once, the ones that are more than a few minutes old never get answered. Or they only get a response or two.

I think it is because a lot of people can't really read or write. I mean, their faculties are just barely developed. Also, attention spans are a lot shorter among habitual internet users, which is the bulk of the userbase of this site. Plus, a whole lot of the members are 13 and 14 years old. So, that explains a lot of it. Also, humans in general and Americans in particular are just kind of stupid. And this website is kind of stupid. I think those are the main reasons.

I think there is more than one reason for this happening..
1)the Majority in this group would rather answer questions like "do you like jelly beans" , maybe because that's something they can answer,
it's easy and universal
2)Excellent questions need excellent answers ..and i'm afraid the answering group is devoid of such intellect most of the time.

b. its easier to answer questions requiring opinion rather than facts?
c. There are less knowledgeable people reading these questions than those with real knowledge or actual experience?

Because the masses (i.e., the average person... the majority of the people on our planet) are generally ignorant, unintelligent, and base. All they want is to be entertained by formulaic crap (read: violence, sex, etc).

i try to make my question as brief and simple as possible so that poeple would care to read 'em

think of the people that are answering them, it is in the middle of the day and might just want to answer an easy one, sorry it is just how it is in polls and surveys
