I have concerns with the death penalty because as humans our legal systems are flawed and Innocent persons have been found guilty of crimes.

I don't support the death penalty because I feel that chances go around. I believe in Karma. I also know that a lot of people want the death penalty because that would mean that the cost wouldn't continue to come out of our tax paying dollars to feed and support these criminals. But I believe that the money is being wasted on unnecessary issues sometimes or just going into the pockets of the already rich. I could never sit on a jury of my peers and send anyone to death row. It's just not in me. Which is very weird of me. Because I definitely believe in self-defense. Meaning that if I'm quicker on the draw then whomever and I drop someone 5 feet away back to their maker, hey......me or anyone else should be set free.

Don't ask, I'm on meds and they always seem to wear off about this time of day. LOL!

Don't support because it's inhumane and it doesn't work. I remember there was a state where they recently, maybe a few years ago, introduced the death penalty and it didn't curb crime it either kept it stagnant or made it go up

A wise man once told me that America may soon begin to show them on television

I do not support the death penalty. Too many innocent people have died because of mistakes. Also they are here for a purpose, I believe it should be up to God. I know I will get many thumbs down...Maybe these people have something left on earth to accomplish. I thought it was so sad when Governor Bush would not grant a stay of execution for Carla Faye Tucker.

I do, under certain conditions.

With technology today, DNA can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt if one is guilty.

Crimes of:

Sexual Abuse/Assault/Molestation of a child

Murder

etc.

Extremely violent crimes and especially involving children. These creeps do not change, they should know if they are going to commit these crimes upon being proven guilty they will receive the death penalty.

I don't support it because, like many posters, I know that the justice system is really flawed.
I also believe that God is the only one who has the right to take a life. If someone else does in His place, He is the one who has a right to deal with that person, not us.

Yes, I support the death penalty. I don't believe first degree murderers need to live all their lives at tax payers' expense.

I dont support it because I dont believe in taking someone's life, unless they are about to kill you or a loved one. I think as humans, we all deserve chances to better ourselves, but unfortunately a lot of people cant break their cycles of committing various crimes. Take for example, the Saddam Hussein execution...I understand what a great relief it was for millions of people to see him dies, and although I never support what he did, I still dont think he should have been executed. People called me all sorts of names, but I was just voicing out my opinion...this applies to all humans.

No. I would support people rotting in prison for the rest of their lives than seeing them killed in an instant. Sorry, supporters.

I don't support it,
It's a reflection of a barbarian society.
People should be punished, but the law isn't flawless, so you could kill an Innocent individual
