I live in South Florida... and I'm wondering... is there anyone else that likes Hurricane season because of all of the rain and wind? I HATE the hurricanes and losing electricty and all the damage... but I LOVE the rain and wind...
anyone else out there like this?

i live in south fla too and yes i know exactly what you mean. when katrina came across i went to the ft.lauderdale beach with some friends and a camera it was cool
wilma was kinda cool to but for most of that one i was pretty drunk i was drinkin in the hurricane bar in dania beach that night lol

sorry dont live where there are hurricanes although sometimes I just want it to thunder and lightening so bad. It seems as though it gets rid of pressure build up in the atmosphere or something. It feels better after the storm. Strange, uh?

i love a nasty violent storm! we get some really nasty storms here on the oregon coast and most people try to go away from it, i head for it! love it. when i was in orlando i saw some thunderstorms that blew my mind! the difference was that in orlando, it was 95 degress and pouring warm rain. here its maybe 55 - 65 and still pouring. but very exilerating to be out in. our winds hit 105 mph sometimes and the breakers on the ocean get 50 feet tall! i love it.

I like it to an extent, but the 90mph winds of Ivan a while back was more than I care for, not to mention 2 weeks with no electricity.

I have never experienced a hurricane... but rain and wind are fun....

I live in "tornado alley" and I don't like the hard wind, but i love rain.

I LOVE storms. It could be that most people are afraid of them and are inside while I'm outside - that feeling of superiority - that gives me a rush. Or it may just be the sheer power displayed. I love 'em.
