Will your recipient be able to accept html emails?

Try putting the banner link in as code as you would on a page and send it to yourself first to check.

Actually I'm unsure if Hotmail allows you to send html emails.

Suck it and see.

alot of digital mail vendors do no longer help html in the e-mail for protection motives including XSS. although, the situation here lies in the situation the place you're sending the e-mail from. HTML should not be allowed the place you digital mail, try yet another emailing provider -stable luck!

Clicking on a Link in an eMail is the faster way to get 'phished' ... (and loose your bank details).

It really should not be encouraged ..

Of course anyone with any sense throws away Microsoft's virus propergation engine (known as Outlook / Exchange) as soon as they recieve their new PC (and uses a 3rd party email client that can be set to strip out all embedded HTML before 'opening' the message .)

You should be able to copy and paste it from the address bar into the body of your email. Make sure you enter a space after the the link or a carriage return if it is at the end of the line.
