Are you able to say "I'm sorry" to someone you have wronged with sincerity?

No, I find that I actually say it too much. My BF no longer thinks I'm being truly honest much of the time that I say 'sorry' because I say it so often, so the sincerity gets kind of lost.
In 'Love Story' they say that "love means never having to say your sorry". Well, sometimes this may be true but it shouldn't be an absolute.
Just the other day though my BF (who doesn't apologize often) did, and it wasn't over anything big but just the fact of knowing that he realized he was out of line was huge for me. It made me love him just a little more.

When I know I am wrong, it is hard to say it, because I never should have let things get to that point. The guilt becomes tangible, and 'sorry' seems so insufficient.

I try to be honest from the beginning, but I can say it with honesty when I do need to..It's only a hard word if your full of guilt, I think..

It can be difficult because no one really wants to admit that they've hurt someone. I'm able to say it... it's just not so easy.

No not really , it used to be and then I started doing it , it was'nt so bad now I can admit when I'm wrong or have done wrong!

l don't find it difficult to say "sorry" when l know l did something wrong, but its hard to say it when you know something wasn't your fault and you still have to apologize.
