I like the flower: Peony, Jasmine, Ivy, Rose, and so on.
I want take the "peony" as my English name.
But somebody tell me "Far away from peony", and if I take the name, will save my tears.
Plesase tell my why!! Thanks a lot.

I think it's pretty, but prefer some of the other floral names, like Fern, Iris, Lilly, or Jasmine. But if you have your heart set on it, don't let anyone discourage you, and if someone teases, well..........that's their problem.

It is a beautful plant but unfortunately, there are idiots in this world that would make jokes about it like knock,knock - who's there? - Peony - Peony who? - Peony where (pee any where). I'm sure there are more jokes which are worse but I don't want to go down that road.
The other names you've chosen are just as pretty and less likely to make you the butt of cruel jokes.

The peony is a symbol of love and affection and is representative of good luck and of spring in the cycle of the four seasons.

It reminds me of 'PONY'. This could then lead to being called 'Horse Face' - like someone I know at college who is called Peony.

can't be worse than some of the star's naming there kids really stupid far out there names your choice seems a lot more down to earth....
being that you like flowers what about the name...flora I think it's a beautiful name!!!
