In terms of Bush's place in history, I think he'll be remembered among the greatest presidents including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ronald Reagan, and a fellow Republican by the name of Abraham Lincoln. Now, it's impossible for me to list ALL Bush Accomplishments with such a short amount of space (and time), but I'll list a couple of things this great man has done.

1) Bush has reestablished good Christian Values in the White House, and America at large (Lord knows we needed it after the Clinton administration).

2) Bush has made us safe from terrorists through his audacious military efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

3) Bush has continuously fought for Middle Class Americans by cutting taxes. A move that also saved the Economy!

4) Bush has raised educational standards for our kids by starting the "no child left behind" program.

I can go on and on with Bush's accomplishments. There are too many of them to mention because he's one of the best Presidents Ever!!

That's why he hides under a rock in Texas. Have you notice that when a Democrat leaves the White House, they become involved in humanitarian efforts and Republicans don't? Did you know that the Bush and Bin Laden Families are still friendly? They have mutual ties in the oil business. Many Americans are saving their old shoes for George, should he make an appearance.

Now this is a question I will love to answer. YES! A resounding yes, the man is so misunderstood by the masses that it boggles the imagination. He is a dear man whose only goal is the betterment of this Country. Unfortunately, there are many critics out there, most with political motivation. The motivation is power, the power that is wielded by the President of the greatest Nation on Earth.
There are those who desire this power that have been close before, some that have not been close at all. It's a tough job and I give Our President kudos for accepting the role and distinguishing himself as one of the greatest that has ever held the office. Do I agree that he will go down in history as one of the greatest? In my eyes, he will. I am a patriot, one who has fought for our freedoms and lost friends to unfriendly fire, good friends that can not be forgotten.
Freedom is never free!!! George W. Bush knows that, understands that and believes that. God Bless him and Our Country. Thanks for writing this question and allowing me the opportunity to answer.

I voted for him twice, and given the choices I had, I would do so again. However, I have to say that George W Bush is nowhere near the list of greatest Presidents ever. He is better than Al Gore or John kerry could ever hope to be, but he leaves a lot to be desired. His support of absorbing 12 to 20 million illegals is nothing short of bizzarre. His refusal to pronounce the word "nuclear" properly displays a certain amount of arrogance. I know, a lot of midwesterners including Texans pronounce it that way. For the man with control of the nuclear football, it is unnerving to many of us that he refuses to pronounce the word properly. Lastly, like Slick Willy before him, he has given his opposition party a leg up on the Oval office in 2008.

I agree with you about the tax cut, but I am not willing to give a lot of credit to Bush on your other 3 points

And he's racist, he try's to play it off and say "i love black people", but no one really says that! He has led our country in so much, and i dont even want to hear his name again.! He makes me sick! Bush is a liar. He let osama bin laden off the hook. If he put the same effort into going after bin laden as he did Saddam we would have gotten the bastard. It all rests on Bush's inept shoulders.

He has one a few good thins (i am a hardcore conservative, bush is not). Reagan was by far the best and Lincoln wasnt great. The No Child Left Behind really restricts teachers from teaching the other children and it basically says everybody passes good grades or not. I am glad we went to war, that was good but we havent gone all out like i think we should. But other than that yes. Right now people hate him, but i do think later he will be looked at as great (maybe, except for his limited efforts on illegal immigration)
