I will agree that the refs dictate the outcome of games and they are biased but Shaq was able to have some success without getting the calls.

Look James gave it to the pistons RAW.

Deal with it.

and i think {team that i root for here} was screwed by bad officiated.

The games arent rigged, and the refs are only human. They make some good calls, and they make some bad ones. Thats why they play 7 game series, to help average these things out.

edit: score1952, youre way of base with your example. in game five pistons had 43 FT attempts, compared with the cavs 39 attempts. In a game with near equal FT attempts, detroit is favored to win over the cavs, because of their much better %. it didnt happen. in fact if you check the stats, FTs attempted for each team were roughly equal, until the pistons meltdown in game six with 3 techs, numerous stupid loss-of-composure fouls, and an ejection.

Lebron didn't exactly get the superstar treatment that he should get throughout the whole series, and would a couple calls really have brought the Pistons any closer than 16-18 points? You guys got smoked, period, move on already.

They were outplayed by Cleveland.

Cleveland has acknowledged it and so has Detroit.

They were outplayed in every single game of that series. This has been said many times by many people.

The game where LeBron scored 25pts straight was amazing. I haven't seen someone take over a game like that since MJ.

The Pistons got an old fashion whooping, plain and simple. And their lack of urgency finally caught up to them.

It amazes me about the media coverage of the Pistons-Cleveland series. You would think that LeBron, definitely a great player was the best player ever in NBA history.

Look at the facts:

Game Five (from the media's and Cleveland's point of view): LeBron had like 24 points with just a minute or two left in regulation. A typical Lebron game. LeBron scores 29 out of the last 30 points for Cleveland with seemingly, and almost guaranteed, at least 20 of those from the free throw line. Yeah, LeBron is the greatest player in NBA history because he can shoot the most spectatular free throws.

Game Six (from the media's and Cleveland's point of view): LeBron is the greatest player in NBA history as Daniel Gibson scores 31 points and was on fire from the three point line during crunch time in the fourth quarter under tremendous pressure. Hey, oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that LeBron finally scored his first field goal toward the end of the third quarter.

Game Five (from Detroit fan's point of view): Detroit made a great last minute comeback to send the game into overtime. Detroit had the lead and the ball with about 1 1/2 minutes to go in the first overtime and didn't close it out. Detroit had the ball with about 1 1/2 minutes to go in the second overtime and didn't close it out. The end of the fourth quarter and the two overtimes became a free throw shooting contest. Real exciting NBA action which is a free throw shooting contest.

Game Six (from Detroit's point of view): The NBA refs had five of the six best Detroit players in foul problems the entire game while only a minor role player on Cleveland had foul problems. Also, in the first half LeBron had ZERO field goals made and ZERO personal fouls. WOW. LeBron must be the greatest NBA basketball player ever.

It seemed like in Cleveland's four victories that Cleveland was shooting 40 to 50 free throws a game, real FANtastic NBA action, while Detroit was shooting half as many.

Where did that Cleveland hero in Game Five and Game Six come from in Daniel Gibson, but all I read about is LeBron, LeBron, LeBron, LeBron...

Yeah, the NBA Commissioner determines who will win or lose a game long before it is ever played to try to achieve the best global NBA marketing potential. Forget about U.S. TV ratings as the NBA is concentrating on global ratings.

the refs tried to let detroit win, but they (detroit) blew it. spurs and pistons might be a good matchup, but the cavs will beat the spurs just like we beat detroit. GO CAVS!
