Hardcode Subtitles into a movie?

Can someone please talk me through an EASY & FAST way to hardcode subtitles into a DivX Movie (divx encoded .avi file)? Thanks.

Actually I have I always end up watching tv like that ! lol I was in venezuela last summer and I hate the spanish voice over they do and I knew it was an american movie I could tell and i turned down the volume and watched it that way.I ended up really liking the movie and to this day I can't figure out what it was. Im gonna go post a quesiton about it. lol
