"Space" isn't expanding, since by definition it is just empty space. What is expanding is the distance between all the matter IN space. All galaxies are rushing away from each other at huge speeds, and in a few billion years or so the night sky will be empty because our galaxy and our closest neighbor will be travelling away from each other at faster-then-light speeds. This means that light from another star won't be able to catch up with us, so we won't see it any more.

What space are we actually talking about, the space outside the earth?
Well no person really knows except our creator. Have you reached the ends of space? Has anyone reached even half of space? I don't think anyone has so for some things, it is somewhat proper to address it as never ending /infinity if you are unsure of its extent of existence.

dude never ending means that it can not be defined. for all we know space can go in to a circle and we don't know it's kinda like the sign for infinity the biggest number we have written is goggle-plex but we're too lazy to go further. don't sweat it. go have some tequila shots with some friends ask the what they think and you'll forget in the morning.

The only way which you could define space as never ending is ;if you assume that space is empty. So there is no end to nothing.

It is the void, not space, that is never ending.

Everybody, sooner or later, has to accept that there is reality even beyond the imagination.
