Her name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor - officially. Her last name technically is Mountbatten-Windsor, from her marriage to Phillip. The reasoning for all this is because dating back to Victoria's days, she took Albert's name, of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, as her married name, and the name of the royal house.
Technically, it should still be named that today, but due to anti-German sentiments, King George V (Elizabeth's grandfather) changed the name to a more English sounding Windsor. Monarchs don't really have last names. You can check out the monarchy's stake on that on their website...forgive me I haven't got it on my favorites. Just type it on a yahoo search and they will explain the names.
Elizabeth's children all have the formal last name of Mountbatten-Windsor, except Charles, who retains the name Windsor as he will be the next monarch. There was a big power play whenever Dickie Mountbatten stated a toast to the Royal House of Mountbatten, and a ruckus ensued, with Phillip and Elizabeth having a very strained relationship from it. You should read some of the books on them, they are absolutely fascinating. Well, I hope that helped you some. :)

Her name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor.
The House of Windsor currently reigns in the UK.
The name Windsor was originally Saxe-Coburg-Gotha;it was changed by George V in 1917 because of anti-German sentiments caused by World War I. On July,7,1917, twenty-four German twin-engined Gotha bombers attacked London, killed 44 people and injured 125 others. The people were not pleased and rioted, attacking all things German-related. On July 17,1917,ten days later, the House of Windsor replaced Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
You can visit http://www.royal.gov.uk for more information on the Royal name; Elizabeth's is Windsor, her husband's is Mountbatten;and their descendants may use Mountbatten-Windsor, but Royals are usually identified by their Royal House name.

Queenies name is Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor.
The House of Windsor never originated from any Mountbatten connection. The change in name made by King George V in 1917 was to distance himself and his family from his German ancestry - he was born into the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.
Prince Louis of Battenberg (Prince Philip's maternal grandfather) changed his family name to Mountbatten for the same reason.
Prince Philip was born into the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg.
Queen Elizabeth is legally a Windsor.
Prince Philip is legally a Mountbatten.
