I have been trying to find out on what details did Bush go into Iraq for. i mean come on there were no terrorist from 9/11 from there and if he really wanted to spread democracy why not go to Burma where the have put a democratically electecd leader under House Arrest for over 20 years now. The Iraqis were safer without us. We lost too many good men and women out there.

The reasons given by the Bush administration were made up, they added reasons and changed the reasons whenever was necessary. The reasons they wanted to invade Iraq was to effect regime change, that means, to place a government that would follow Washington's wishes. That way, we would get the oil really cheap, have bases in Iraq, probably to work on Iran and give the Israelis a sense of security. And of course, Bush would have his photo ops and parades.

I may hate Bush but I salute the thinktank,CIA,military ***
industrial complex owner, the foreign secretaries, the secretaries
of treasury and their political leadership who in the last 30 years
could make USA a superpower in an unipolar world by real
politik. The war in Iraq is an Economic War;it has got nothing
to do with terror.Terror was an excuse to start the war.
Control of the oil resources is absolutely necessary to
maintain the dollar hegemony.Since 1971 when Nixon took
the dollar off the gold standard[at $35 per ounce=31.10gms]
dollar became a fiat curreny[currency operating on govt.fiats and having no intrinsic value].The current international
finance structure is based on the US dollar as the dominant
reserve currency[because of the fact that USA controls some
of the key substances such as oil, armaments required for
modern warefare,nuclear fuel,advanced electronic equipment
etc] World trade is now a game in which the US produces
dollars and the rest of the world produces things that dollars
can buy.To prvent speculation and manipulative attacks on
their domestic currencies, the world's central banks must
acquire and hold dollar reserves in corresponding amounts
to their currencies in circulation.By definition, dollar reserves
must be invested in Us assets creating a capital accounts
surplus in the economy. USA has a national debt over
$ 8 trillion[75% of GDP] and because the other countries
keep their dollar reserves in US the US economy does
not crumble like a pack of cards.
The recycling of the petrodollars is the price the US has
extracted from the oil producing countries for the US
tolerance of the oil exporting cartel since 1973.
Since Iraq did not fall in line and Iraq wanted to put its oil
reserve in Euros that is the purpose of Iraq war.
Firstly USA helped Iraq to fight a war with Iran so that they
both become week and then entice Iraq to attack oilfields
of Kwait and then in turn attacked Iraq and when they left
Iraq by teaching them a lesson and enforcing lot of sanctions
even administering a nofly zone, bombarding Iraqi nuclear
plants with Israeli help and when then could not control
the Iraqi oil sources they have attacked Iraq and USA is
telling that they have attacked for terror. This has got no
connection with the 9/11 incident.

If all people cares to submit to in suggestions, we went into Iraq to topple Saddam and used a sort of excuses which, i'm particular maximum believed. No president, no longer even Bush could have been so stupid as to declare victory a hundred days later (undertaking performed) in the event that they had believed we would be there 5 years later. The Iraq conflict began with honorable and robust intentions yet has on the grounds that grew to become right into a policing action. the U. S. and coalition forces are attempting to prop up the Iraq government so as that they are able to stay on the onslaught of terrorists and islamic enthusiasts. If we leave, that's a toss up who will at last be on top of problems with the country.... for my section, the worst may well be Iran!

Here is the "official reason". Iraq did not live up to the cease fire agreement. We had intelligence that suggested they were hiding weapons of mass distruction (which they weren't). They were also keeping the UN weapons inspectors from being able to properly inspect their facilities. This fueled the idea that they were hiding weapons of mass distruction. We were already in Afganistan fighting the Taliban and searching for Osama Bin Laden, so it was conveniant at the time to just cross over into Iraq (without the approval of the UN).

The real reasons we went were for oil and to finish the fight his dad started when he was in office. Now, we are weaker, and most of the world hates us, and now he is going to start a second cold war with Russia. Its funny how one administration can set us back 50 years.

1- Finish Daddies War
2- Controll the Oil Market
3- Make a very select few a ton of money - can anyone say Halliburton?
4- Demonstrate the power of the USA - aka who's is bigger contest
5- Use his term in office to Accomplish something - aka make the USA a complete mockery of the country it once was.
6- Target Practice for the Iraqi's --- quote FROM people serving over there "We just drive around waiting to be shot or blown up"

Bush went into Iraq because Saddaam refused to adhere to UN agreements.

Bush remains in Iraq because if we would withdraw, the Islamic fundamentalists i.e. Iran, Syria (all of them hate Europeans and whites) would take over the power void in that area. They would, then, control a major part of the world's oil supply. Thus, they would control the world's economy. In a short time America would become a third world nation.

First to be erased from the face of the earth is Israel.

It's just that simple.

Saddam attempted to have Bush's daddy killed. Bush let that slip once in a speech as his rationale for war. Cheney will make $$$millions from stock options from Halliburton with its no bid Iraq contracts.

Everything else is a lie. UN weapons inspections were being freely conducted, with non compliant missiles being destroyed.

So it vengence for Bush, money for Cheney.

I think it"s about oil.
The people in Iraq weren't happy under the leadership of Saddam, true, but most of them could live their lives as they liked. Since Bush invaded Iraq, the country is total chaos.
