Many theists say God created the Universe.Hindus say God is doing everything. If God is doing everything I am not responsible for my actions. If someone has murdered ,then God murdered,so put God in jail cause hes doing everything. Also,Hinduism has this concept which says that you are now suffering because of your past life evil deeds. If you are suffering because of your past life evil deeds, then what about your first life? The first time when you were born on this planet? That time you dint have any past lives, did you?Another thing, this concept of God seems to be very insulting. The Universe is so vast,it is infinite,it is just so so so big how can there be creator or leader or almighty? There just cannot be.
I disagree with Nietzsche's statement "God is Dead" .In the first place God was never born, then how can he be dead.Only if you are born you can be dead. But God was never born,so he cannot be dead.GOD NEVER EXISTED.It is just fiction.Ok guys, dont get angry with me ,tell me your views

Theists always think that someone created the Universe. You just cannot understand that no one created it.If you say God created the Universe it only holds back the question you will start asking new questions, like who created God.No one created the Universe,it always existed.....

The Theists just want someone to save them from misery,so they cling to this strange fellow called God.I do not want this God.Man is just matter as Karl Marx says. There is no soul.We all are born and we should enjoy life cause we have only one life.

The concept of God has created 300 religions in the world, all religions fighting to be NO.1.Drop God.Humans are on a so low level of consciousness that they cannot handle the fact that GOD DOES NOT EXIST.They want to throw all their responsibilities on God.They cannot stand on their own legs.Your saints say they have SEEN God.On one hand you say God is infinite,so you cannot see the infinite.

I shall explain it all in entirety. God created the Cosmos (the entire Cosmos consists of many universes) and God Almighty exists from times immemorial. And why do we call God Almighty as the Creator of all shall be explained first? God Almighty is not the form of human beings. It is a colossal power... the magnitude of which can never be imagined by human beings with limited power of the senses.
Let us go back to time when the present Cosmos does not even exist. The dissolution of the old cosmos occurs and this results in the whole Cosmos... the entire size of the Cosmos reducing to size of half a thumb. This concept of the beginning of the Cosmos... the creation of the Cosmos... the dissolution of the Cosmos has been made explicitly clear in Bhagavad Gita... the most sacred Scripture given to mankind by Lord Krishna in Mahabharata.
This half the size of a thumb... this pure cosmic energy... this cluster of all purified souls atmans in the Cosmos is what we know as God Almighty! This prime pristine pure energy what we know as God Almighty unable to contain itself in its pristine form for long... Again explodes with a big bang... resulting in creation of a new cosmos... a new beginning... a new cosmic life cycle!
All purified souls atmans because of the cosmic big bang explosion scatter out at unimaginable speeds throughout the Cosmos. These rolling souls’ atmans gather impurities on the way. In order to come back to their original pure pristine form... they manifest a cycle of 8.4 million manifestations (an earthly life cycle of 96.4 million years) before the human being reaches the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha).
These impure souls atmans initially manifest the form of an amoeba (single cell formation)... the first manifestation in the cosmic life cycle! They further evolve into multi-cell formation, insect life, plant life and animal life. Before manifesting the form of human being... our soul atman has already crossed through 7.3 million manifestations. In the human form alone we have 1.1 million manifestations (an earthly life cycle of 12.1 million years).
It is only a human being every soul atman gains permanent release from the cycle of birth and death. Never from heaven or hell can the soul atman gain entry into the kingdom of God (aka Baikuntha in Hinduism). The moment a human being reaches the stage of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or prophet Mohammed... one reaches the last leg of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... when one gains enlightenment and finally salvation.
Having gained salvation the liberated soul atman finally enters the kingdom of God... a point of no return! The cosmic life cycle having come to an end for this liberated soul atman... it finally becomes an Angel... the power of which can be invoked by anyone living on Mother Earth. God Almighty always acts as a Dhrista (onlooker)... it never involves self in the creation of his! Every human being is the Creator of his own destiny. Everything in the cosmic system is governed by the doctrine of karma. As we perform so shall we get... nothing less or more!
If we suffer in the present manifestation it is owing to the negative deeds (bad karma) of the previous manifestations! If we are lucky... it also owes its existence to the positive accumulated karma (Punya karma) of the past lives. All is the result of a law that cannot err! Nothing is disordered in the cosmic system as has been stipulated by the famous physicist Stephen Hawking in his book "a brief history of time". The system of God is beyond the purview of science. Stephen Hawking fails as science demand proof of everything. In the system of God... most things run by absolute faith! More on God - http://www.godrealized.org/why_god_made_this_world.html

The universe was not always here, and this may not be the only universe. "Our" universe is the one that we know, and it was created somewhere between 15-17 billion years ago. Most scientists call the even the Big Bang. Our sun is about 5.6-6 billion years old and has about another 5-6 billion before it goes into its red giant phase. That will basically be the end of our solar system, or at least earth. The universe is also not infinite but is continuously expanding at the speed of light. Right now it looks as if the universe is going to continue to expand, which means that eventually solar systems and galaxies will be pulled apart and everything will freeze. The other theory is that maybe gravity will become greater than the force causing the universe to expand and pull everything back together in the "Big Crunch." They have weird names for these things. Either way the future for the universe looks bleak. These are things that most cosmologist have agreed upon, so it is from a purely scientific standpoint. I'm not saying that god doesn't exist, but he is what each person makes of him.

If there were or is That other than God, which did create the universe, does that import to you the answer?
Hmmm.... logicians and philosophers incline often to look for what is not over what is.
If God or That did not create the universe -- what then? And what did? And does that import to you the answer?
We do know that 'Something' did. You would agree, yes?
Let's call what that is, Something -- and just take it from here.
Give us your take on this, for few if any of us do know...
Hint: if we have but reasoining to countenance the question, we have at best only an expedient; we have an answer modified by the logic itself, a confounder.

People often times speak of God as though there is a universal understanding of the word. I think when that word is spoken to 1000 people, 1000 different things pop into each one of those persons heads. Sometimes slightly different, sometimes radically.
Is there a true God? Who knows. And why does there have to be one unique answer to the question of who or what God is? I think it's part of the narcissism of western culture that we believe we can know absolute truth.
There are a lot of statements floating around out there as to the nature of God and the nature of the universe. Some are spoken as absolute truth. Some are presented as observations. What must be remembered is that these statements are all spoken or written by people(fallible f**d up human beings), even if they claim to have spoken to Jesus to get thier information. I tend to trust the observations rather than the "absolute truths". Although even the observations may be specific to a particular persons world and don't apply to everyone.
So I say listen to what people say. If what they say sounds useful, use it. If not, forget about it. Don't give it another thought. No one is always right and no one is always wrong. Einstien was wrong about the uncertainty priciple. A broken clock is right twice a day(LED and LCD clocks are obviously not included). Talk is cheap you know.
It is a great relief for a person to not have to have the whole world figured out and have their own personal truth be enough.

If you forget , for the moment , the various sizes , shapes, figures that man has assigned to the invisible force , that is called God , then you can see things with more clarity.
In the first place you/ we donot have to accept other people`s concept of God. You donot have to argue with any of them. For example, I accept what you say ... that he never existed. Period. What next?
You see the universe. You see many , many things around you. you see someone suffers . Someone enjoys. There is inequality. There seems injustice..... so many things. You also see a lot of orderliness in the universe. So you/we think that something ( not necessarily someone) has played a key role in this organising.. If you agree then you can call IT whatever you feel like. For certain continuity, comparison IT is called "Eashwara" in the eastern philosophy. You can call it by any name you want.
There are no answers anywhere for your questions . donot seek it unnecessarily. If you need answers to some things that are nagging you you can try to see other learned men`s views on this. That is all.
Start today to read about "karma " theory. See if that explanation appeals to you.

It amazing that you are asking question and not just beliving what is told to you.But the things that you think hinduism says are not what it truely says.....you do seem to be a little confused.
It does not say that God is responsible for your actions, it says you alone are responsible for your actions. Nothing is destined to happen, it depends on the choices that you make. Your karma may predispose you a certain thing from happenning but with genuine effort you can alter it.
For example, there are people we all have known who are in a certain profession and after many years of college or working in that field decide that they cant do it any more.......and they go back to college to study something else or drop out and give up the future they would have had on basis of their karma. In case of the person who works hard to change his life, he fights his past bad karma with good karma and and guess who wins?
As far as "sufferring" because you did something bad to someone is concerned, if you have genuine remorse for your deeds you will be forgiven, and that's for sure. But there are a lot of times that we may have been mean to even people we love and have never felt any remorse for it or asked for forgiveness. We have a chance to do so in this life. If we dont, then that bad karma stays with you in your next birth and you repay your debt then.
You have asked a very interesting question..........what about the first birth that we had. Yes we hadn't done anything wrong in that birth we would have gone back to where we belong. But since we didnt we are still here.
About what happens when we get moksha. Well getting moksha is not the same as going to heaven. According to hinduism, being in heaven ,hell or earth is not permanant. We all have a part of God in us, our soul, and when that soul reaches God, then it rests, then it never comes back in this cycle, that is moksha.
Now we are on earth. Each one of us has a role to play, of a student, a mom, a dad, a plumber, a doctor, a butcher etc. If we do our job honestly, for helping others, without greed, with the sole intention of doing the job well and if you harm no living being, not with your actions nor your speech nor thoughts......then you will definately reach God (karma yog)
These were a few things which I know but there are a lot of things that I dont. I have read a book which has helped me a lot. Its called The complete Idiot's guide to Hinduism.I had so many doubts in my mind and I just couldnt understand how certain tihngs can be simply desitny, why are we sufferring and can we do something about our karma which we dont even recall doing.I didnt know where to start, i thought I should read the Geeta, but I wanted some basics before I jump onto it.That's when i stumbled upon this book. It turns out we can and that nothing is pure destiny. Try and read that book.....read it without prejudice, question what it says and think.........you will start getting atleast some answers.I guess when you really want ot reach God and have nowhere to start He/ She somehow shows you the direction.

I'll give you an answer that's not from someone who believes in christianity, buddhism, hinduism or any other religion. For all those of you out there who do, I'd like to say this first. I'm not against belief systems. I'm not even against the concept of a "God" or god-like being(s). What I am against is the way that religion tries to tell everyone that "this is the one true way and there is no other and if you don't believe then you're wrong". I believe that there is a greater power, yes, but I believe that people should be able to think of, worship and name that being whatever and however they want.
So in answer to the original question "Who created God"...well, humanity created "God" as a concept. For all the religious people out there, yes what we define as "God" (or Allah or whatever you want to name him/her/it/them) may have been there forever and a day (though we have no real way of knowing) the definition of God was created by humanity. So, in conclusion....the thing that we think of as God may have been around forever but God as a concept is pretty new in terms of the universe.

Way too much thought going on- has anyone ever had the concept that "God" is just the harmony or perfect flow of the universe. "He" is not a spirit, person, or thing but rather a way that things work. So all the evolution (by the by-if there is no time for God-why isn't that true?) and Eden theories and facts all can co-exist if people just recognize it as a flow rather than some ruler up there with a pitch fork (so to speak) and spend our time tapping in and growing inwardly and outwardly-and stop throwing our opinions on others....

Well said! We need more brave people (brave to go against the tide) like you.
But if the universe could have always existed, then why can't God always have existed?
In spite of this flaw there still is so much evidence that there is no god. So I'm an atheist.
Good day to you.

There are many more people who believe in God, that you can possibily think.
God is truth and the human mind is crafted to search for the the truth. The knowledge of the truth will lead to God. Though you may try to comprehend - no one will ever be able to understand God. Yes, but if we observe the good that springs from us, we will be able to better understand the good that resides in the goodness of God.
What already existed cannot be created. Rather everything created through him will come back to HIM! Things that are limited in their capacity cannot think or imagine or comprehend that which is limitless and not controlled by space or time or any framework! Because being what we are - we will always think of in sizeable, measurable terms - try imagining what INFINITY means!

Your thoughts will lead you to the right answers, but don't give up, thinking that you already have the right answers and conclusions! "Swayam Bhoo" concept for God need not be the right concept, but it is also a concept. we all tend to begin somewhere in the middle of 'times' when there is already the universe, there are already people, there is already the concept of God, or, gods, and our search takes us not too far back into the past, closer to the beginning of 'times': but, we should keep asking questions, debating with open minds and the ability and facility to consider and process other views, for &against! Trust that scientists are in some segments doing the debates in their own ways: whether it is particle physics, or, colliding particles in media or in vacuum (180,000 miles per second and faster!), or evolution (Darwin is still very much in the syllabi! as is La Mark) --- all this to find the ultimate explanation, the one answer!
