Ok, I'm not entirely sure I believe this is a serious quesion, lol. Surely anyone with common sense would just buy a cheaper food. But, on the off chance you're not trying to start a flame war and are really interested in information, here ya go:
1) No you shouldn't kill it. Would you kill a dog for eating expensive food, or simply switch to a cheaper brand? It's the same general principal.
2) Just to dispell the rumor now. Goldfish do not...I repeat...do NOT...have a life expectancy of a couple of months "or less". A fish - raised in a healthy PROPER envirornment can live for many years. The myth out there that fish only live for a few months is simply because society has deemed it's ok to keep them in small, unhealthy environments (e.g. Bowls, 1 gallon tanks, etc).
3) How often and how much are you feeding him? Goldfish will keep eating till there's nothing left. Only feed him 2-3 times a day...and make sure to put in only enough flakes for him to consume in 3-5 minutes. Anything left is overfeeding the fish (which can cause a whole lot of water quality issues).
4) If you DO run into a situation where it's time to say good bye to a sick, diseased fish - the most humane way to kill them (as bad as this sounds) is a swift chop to the head with a very sharp knife. Then dispose of the body and head (in a plastic bag) in the trash. Do not flush your fish...it's bad for the sewage systems. It's harsh, but it's a swift kill that saves much suffering. Personally, I can't even do that, I try to medicate and treat the fish as much as possible.

Do you like to make people extremely angry? If so, you are doing a good job at it. Dont you have any thing better to do then get everyone ticked off? That was a retoracle question btw. Also, the most humane way to kill a fish currently if it is suffering is by using clove oil.

Goldfish don't have stomachs, and they eat constantly, esp. from the bottom of the tank. It helps to give them pellets that sink, feed the goldfish these first. Then, feed the other fish. This will help conserve the expensive food.

fish should only be feed 3 times a week max. you dont kill a fish just because he is eating lots. By feeding your fish too often it will make the tank cloudy and will kill your fish. Get some weed whixh is a good source of food and will keep the tank clean and be good oxgyen.

Drowning won't work obviously! Sounds like you just might be fed up of looking after the poor thing. You can get really cheap fish food and if it's eating too much then it's your fault for overfeeding it, just a small pinch at a time! If you just want to get rid of it, give it to a good home. Don't kill it, I hope someone wouldn't kill me if they thought it cost too much to feed me! This is probably just a wind up though isn't it!

my god is there really sich a thing as EXPENSIVE fish food i have 15 fish and buy the floating pellets from the £1 shop 1 bag lasts me about 3 month so 33p a month for 15 fish hardly bank breaking is it? feed it less ya fool or buy cheaper food why would ya want to kill a fish do ya want to eat it or something??????????

Are you insane? You can't just kill an animal like that. Either buy a cheaper brand of fish food or give it to some-one who cares enough about animals to let it eat. Sheesh.
