This is most infuriating to me. Do we have to settle for this?

I would be worried for sure. Is it possible that your antispyware is no good and when you had say 200 "bad boys per day", your antispyware program is not removing them. So you see the same spyware over and over.

I have a legal obligation to keep my pc 100% clean. Here is a list of spyware program I have used for atleast ten years and never had one spyware.

Antispyware I use three. You can only use one antivirus program or you will have serious conflict with your system.

Superantispyware, known to find what all other anitspyware will miss. http://www.superantispyware.com

A2Squard Malware out of Austria. Download their free version and you will be protected from, rogue dialers, worms, malware, keyloggers, trace spyware and rouge cookies.

http://www.emsisoft.com

AdAware SE Personal out of Sweden. This antispyware company has been around since computers became commerical. In June of this year they will come out with a brand new version. Right now it is beta testing. Download their free home for personal use. http://www.lavasoft.com

All of these program I have listed for you use little or no resources.

Are you telling your spyware checker to quarantine or eliminate them?? Some of the spyware checkers need a second step to clean up the mess or you need to click a box of something to tell it to do that. So you may be getting the same old ones.
If you are leaving your windows PC bare naked on the internet ( no hardware or software firewall) then this does not surprise me at all. I have seen some tests of windows machines being put online and being infected within 3-5 minutes without the keyboard even being touched.
So to prevent that I suggest you get good software firewall(zone alarm free is good) the one with the new versions of windows is less than useless, and if you have a broadband connection get a router/firewall.

Not sure which spyware detector you are using but you might consider downloading others and running them also as a kinda suspenders and belt approach since some of the spyware detectors do not find all of them. Adaware is good and so is Spybot. If you are using Netscape browser then the newer releases have a built in spyware scanner.
Run all of them to be sure.

Install Spyware blaster. It will block many of those cookies from getting on your hard drive. You will still get a lot but not as many.
Download it at.
