I read an article about one of the recent speeches Hillary gave. She talked about her village theory again and about shared prosperity.

The article included these quotes, which I found interesting. What do you think?

Soviet dictator Khrushchev once said, "We can't expect the American people to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."

Norman Thomas once said, "The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

The road to Socialism is so insidious.

You will hear elected leaders touting some Socialist program as fulfilling the spirit of the great American nation. Instead of identifying it as a Socialist program, they try to make people associate it with generosity, justice, or something noble. People eat this stuff up because they don't realize it is a trap.

Beware of politicians spouting Socialism. They will always make sure their wealth is protected from the Socialist nightmare they create. They want people to become dependent on the government.

Hillary knows that socialized medicine would be a disaster. Just travel around the globe and see for yourself. Right now I live in Europe, and I'm not letting the doctors here operate on me, and even if I had more faith in them, I would have to wait for months. You want socialized medicine? That means you wait in a drab, crowded room with dozens of other people for three hours for that "free" appointment. I value my time, but under Socialism, you wait for everything.

The Democrats are drooling over the prospect of another big, bloated program they can use to get votes. Here is how Socialized medicine would play out:

1) Initially, there would be euphoria, and people would wonder why they waited so long to get Socialized medicine.

2) Problems would quickly start creeping up, so the government would throw massive amounts of money at the problem in order to keep the people placated.

3) The problems would keep getting worse. It would soon be evident that expensive machinery is rapidly breaking down under the weight of so many people using it "for free". Without a budget for more, it would finally sink into peoples' heads that medicine and treatment is being rationed.

4) The democrats will smugly figure that everyone, especially families with children will be forced to vote for them in order to keep the "freebies" flowing.

5) The system will fail. Conservatives will say, "I told you so" while Liberals will say that underfunding and mismanagement was what killed it off.

So, let's be smart and just skip the whole Socialist nightmare, ok?

Exactly. We can continue to call our government a "democratic republic." But as it morphs into something else, how long will it be before we acknowledge what it truly has become?

I think that Hilary's ideas threaten the individual - and I find that scary. But what I find even scarier, is that so many of the American people are on board and in support of her ideas. Which shows that people are not only OK with Socialist ideas, they are willing to put someone in power who blatantly is pushing for Socialist reforms.

It's a government of the people for the people. I guess if that's what the people want - no individuality, no responsibility of oneself, complete dependence on the government - then that is what they will get.

I let them in with my silence.
I watched them seditiously attack my elected representatives.
I listened while they strove to divide voter from government.
I read how they ate away at business to give to those who had no business.

My silence was their friend.

I am a democrat. I am not a socialist (or liberal, as they are now called). I am a U.S. citizen, first, a democrat, second.

I left the party (claiming it left me), then returned when I realized my responsibilities to remain true. I have been called many names for my actions, mostly by liberals.

My silence was their friend.

I am no longer silent.

THESE PEOPLE DO NOT REPRESENT ME!

Do they represent you? Are you a socialist? Do you call our leaders names, undermine our country?

I've chosen sides.

I believe in free speech (for everyone, republicans included);
I believe in free expression (for everyone, Christians included);
I believe in equality (for everyone, white people included).

Are you still silent? How about you, Republicans? You think there aren't those in your party doing the same things? Face them! You silence is you vote for their success.

Can you disagree with, dissent from, and protest Former First Lady & Senator Clinton without being seditious, regardless of whether she has been seditious or not?

If you can, you are my brother, a fellow patriot. I stand with you even as I disagree with you (not in this case).

The road to socialism(totalitarianism) is incremental.
A very good read on how it is done is the book Gulag Archipelago that gives insight on how it was done in soviet Russia.
He warns it can happen anywhere.

Its scary to think some people can be so far away from what America has always stood for. If she is elected she will tarnish the American dream!!!

Tyranny always happens a little bit at a time. Hillary tried to bite off a big chunk with her 1993 grab at private property, she now knows the real way to do it.

I think American needs a dash of socialism in the mix in order to remain the world's superpower. We need to adequately educate and take care of our citizenry.

That selfish "every man for himself" mentality is what is crushing the American spirit.

You mean like when JFK said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Yeah, what a commie. Who's he to imply we shouldn't all be looking out for Number One?
