and his immigration policies? How about him recognizing the human impact on global warming? Do you agree with his diplomatic efforts in Iran? And last, if you ARE happy with these policies, did you support them when they were first introduced...by the democrats? Also, if you could define 'liberal' for me, that would be greatly appreciated.

libsR4kids, thanks for answering the question! I have to also say, if that is your definition of a liberal, I can assure you...no one like that exists in this country, at least not enough to bank a vote on it...:)

A lot of questions wrapped into one.

As a Reagan Republican, I am not entirely pleased with Bush's policies. But, needless to say, I think he's doing a much better job than any Democrat would have done.

Immigration - I'm somewhat liberal on this issue so I think he is doing fine with it for the moment.

Global Warming - I don't believe he has caved into this issue as much as Al Gore his liberal cronies has. Global Warming is a farce, but it is also popular at the moment to at the very least, acknowledge it.

Iran - What diplomatic efforts? Only sanctions. I do believe we are on the verge of conducting a military operation there, whether covert or not.

Iraq War - It was unconstitutional and I was totally against it from the very beginning. Saddam Hussein was not a threat to the US. I believe we would be winning the war against terror if we weren't in Iraq and instead fully engaged in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Definition of liberal - Socialist, unpatriotic, tree-hugging, draft-dodging, baby-killing, terrorist-embracing, pot-smoking, left-wing, lunatics. I believe liberals are the single greatest threat to America.

EDIT - If you think I'm kidding about the definition of a liberal, do a Google search on George Soros and Michael Moore.

No I am not happy with Bush. I despise his caving on immigration. He is humoring the left with "human impact" on global warming and yes, I think we need to get Iran involved in solving the Iraq situation. The only one of the three issues I am happy with is trying to get Iran to help in Iraq (you did not mention their nukes...so I won't either)--and yes I did support THAT item when the Dems first introduced it. I stand firmly against amnesty and global warming is a natural occurrence.

Liberals feel an irresistible urge to take sides with the "less fortunate". (While the conservatives want to reward beneficial choices and discourage destructive directions) The left seeks to eliminate or reduce the impact of the disadvantages that result from their own bad decisions (ie refusal to work, drug abuse, promiscutiy, criminal behavior). In place of the conservative emphasis on accountability, the left proffers a gospel of indiscriminate compassion--even for the laziest most pathetic slackers of our society.

Liberals never bother to inquire whether a given "oppressed" group counts as deserving or not--if there is a "victim" to be had--the liberals demand special privleges for them--and if there is any opposition, they label those who oppose it 'racists'. Without the victims and the powerless, liberals wouldn't be in business. And finally, I don't remember where I read this quote, but it seems fitting: "A liberal is man who will give away everything he himself doesn't own."

I voted for him in both elections. I am an independant voter. I voted for Clinton before him.

I was VERY happy with his politics in the first 3+ years. His hanhling with 9/11...I thought the start of the war was alright.

But, he relied too much on people around him that were not consistant to what he wanted. It failed him. I believe he is a good-hearted man. You gotta admit his passion. The one thing he does have that most presidents do not have? Integrity! He continues to push his views, despite what others think and polls, and never changes. He does not let others force opnions on him. He stands by what he believes in...even if most people do not agree.

Basically, I think the war is right..and wrong. It is right because we need to fight tyranny and evil before it hits us again. I do believe in a defense system that is proactive..not reactive (like 9/11). It is wrong because we did not prepare ourselves properly for a possible negative outcome. We did not research things well.

Bush will not be the worst president ever. He will not be the best. But, his negativity will live on for a long time.

too soft on immigration. humanity has a minimal impact on global warming. Iran is an enemy of the USA since Carter betrayed the Shah.

Not happy with a single one of his policies in this regard.

Liberals believe that the government, not the marketplace, is the best source to solve problems. Not just problems of national defense, but all problems.

Further, liberals do not believe that rights are innate to the human condition, as such rights would be required to be from a source other than government. Liberals believe that consent of the masses and government grants rights to people.

Also, liberals do not beleive in individual property. They believe in communal property rights. Such is made manifest by their perversion of Article One, Section 8, and their desire to apply it to every sector of existence.

I could go on and on, but I hope that gives guadance. BTW, there are conservative democrats, liberal republicans, and vice-versa.

I'm extremely happy. That doesn't mean I am pleased with 100% of what he has done, but no one is perfect. Overall, I think his presidency was a great success. Deficits are common when there is a war, and when taken as a percentage of our GDP this deficit is not as large as ones in the past and is very manageable. I would like to see more troops in Iraq if possible and a stronger stance towards Iran. I think he has done a great job with the economy by cutting taxes and letting the market do its job. I assume you were expecting or hoping for me to say how much I hate him like liberals do, but I don't hate people. I make my own way in life and I don't blame all my problems on others, as liberals do.

this is in basic terms wishful questioning on the area of liberals because of the fact their occasion is approximately to implode. i'm no longer happy with all of Bush's judgements yet I shudder to think of of ways might motor vehicle bombimgs could be occuring on a daily basis in substantial American cities if Gore had won in 2000. (because of the fact like Clinton, he could have omitted terrorist assaults against united statesa.)

I found it amazing and sad that there are people that hate the Democrats so bad , that they are happy with Bush despite him failures that will affect this country for generations to come. I have never seen a more hate filled "group of people" in my life.

I will give them credit, they do have an amazing party loyalty. But that is also their Achilles heel. They are more party loyal then they are country loyal.

I'm not a republican but I'm more happy with Bush than I would have been given Kerry got elected but no, I don't like this immigration BS. It's not like him and I think something is afoot here. More than the public knows about. It's just not like him.

Happy with his stance on immigration, happy he hasn't given the scam that is the "global warming scare" any more creedence than it deserves, happy with the message sent to Iran that we will not tolerate their overtly aggressive posturing, I'm happy that he went into Iraq and captured a know terrorist posing as a world leader and that thruogh our continued presence we can work toward gaining a foothold no previous president has come close to gaining, in the Middle East. Lastly, a liberal is one who expects the government to feed, clothe, and entertain the populous, who lives in the fanstasy land of idealism. A conservative on the other hand, is simply a liberal who has been mugged, and now understands how the world really works.

I dont have much opinion on the Iran issue. As far as Global warming, to me Global Warming is naturally occuring change in the climate. I think he is pandering on that issue (which most politicians do at some point in their careers), but I am furious with the immigration issue, both with Bush and the majority of congress for support this "amnesty" bill..
