John Adams was described as "obnoxious and disliked." Lincoln was despised by over half the country so much so that they broke away and formed a whole new country. Everyone said that Nixon's impeachment would destroy our nation.

Adams was a great President. Lincoln has gone down in history as one of the best and most visionary men ever to hold the office of President. And the Nixon impeachment was something our country survived easily.

GW won't be one of the best loved, but he is certainly not most despised.

the answer to your question is yes. Everyone that said Clinton was than Bush are complete idiots. All Clinton did was get a blow job and that makes him bad. No one thinks about the financial disaster he had to fix call Reaganomics who was only interested in spending money like a teenager at the mall with her parents American Express Black Card. And Bush is worse, we now have the largest debt in the history of America not including a meaningless policing action that is doing nothing but causing future generations of potential soldiers to rethink their plans. Bush has even set precedent to violate our constitutional right, he intentionally allowed the Brady Bill to lapse now you can legally buy an AK-47 and a SKS and then buy the conversion kit to make it an automatic assault rifle. Once again he has proved that in the eyes of the world that he is one of the worlds worst leaders, and Clinton is worse.
that just show how hypocritical republicans, religious nut jobs, and all those who think like these people.

During his time as President, I think that Richard Nixon created more animosity within this country. The hatred was quite intense. This was not so much the case worldwide.

GW has managed to be more despised outside of this country due to his policies and his demeanor.

not sure, imagine how hated FDR must have been when he decided to round up every person in the usa with some kind of japanese ancestory and put them into camps.

what if bush did something like that after 9-11, gather everyone with middle-eastern decent and locked em up (in a humane way)

both of them went after ppl who directly attacked us (japan, afganistan) and after those who didn´t directly attack us(Germany / Iraq)

yet FDR goes down as one of the best presidents we´ve ever had.

No, but thanks for sharing your biased opinion. All leaders have despisers at home and abroad, and probably aren't doing their job properly if they don't. Bush is true to what he is... a hard line conservative who doesn't cow tow to public pressure.

Hillary will be more dispised in 2008.

Carter is hated too. So much for him being a Christian with the hatred that he shows towards other people.

Bill Clinton is VERY hated by the world. No one trusts him.

I don't need to think twice whether an imbecile named George Bush is the absolute worst president EVER, but about USA being the most unintelligent nation for picking him, on earth, I'd have to say yes to both.

Yes, your question reminds me when the German Chancellor cringed when Bush touched her shoulders.

We disagree. I thought Carter was bad until I had to live through the Clinton years. I hate Clinton with a passion.
