I mean, regardless of whether we are teenagers or old people - all our avatars look the same age?!

it is annoying... i mean u could be talking 2 someone abt the meaning of life & BAM, they're 11!
Yahoo! should make different faces according 2 the ages in file.

Well, the children can look like responsible adults and people are more likely to respect what they say then, I think. The old people look more like young people, and at that point, people wouldn't **mind** looking younger. (Who am I kidding, it's a huge business for women to try to look younger!) So I think it's what most people want.
However, I'm sure there are some people that would like different aged avatars, so you could suggest to Yahoo that a wider range should be introduced. After all, I remember people complaining that all of the Yahoo avatars were skinny, and then they started coming out with plus size avatars. So it never hurts to try. :)

Either it's the laziness of the creators from Yahoo who make the avatars or its that most of us fantasize ourselves as being perpetually young and attractive forever, no matter what our age or appearance really is. Maybe it's a combination of both.

Yeah I agree, but that is all that is being offered at the moment, and the ones who are not cumputer savvy have nothing to say about it so we are forced to use what is available
