I'm really happy that the Cavs made it to the finals, but does anybody think the playoffs weren't that special this year? as in the regular season, we all thought the Mavs had it all, no doubt. Then Phoenix.... they were wow, but they made it further than the Mavs.. Golden State- they were SO exciting to watch, Baron Davis and Matt Barnes, S-Jax, they were awesome. i don't have a clue how they didn't get passed Utah. and then you have the east- Baby Bulls, amazing young team who didn't have the experience.
So anyway, are you excited with the playoffs this year or is it just ehhh, so- so?

I think it was better than most expected. I'm not disappointed at all, especially since "Someone New" is going to play in the Finals. This year we got to see a lot of players who we might not have seen during the regular season. For example B. Davis & crew & D. Williams and the Jazz. These teams didn't get a lot of time on ESPN or TNT this past season! Just the same as a lot of people outside the Midwest may not have gotten the chance to see Luol and the Bulls like I have. I enjoy seeing new faces accomplish great things! GO CAVS!!

the playoffs have been greeat this year. Golden state started it off wit ha great upset and great brand of b-ball that included long threes and a dunk of the decade by davis knocking out the international paper champion Dirk. Then DUncan and CO. beat up on the great white hope in NAsh, the most overated player in the NBA. Put Lebron on the SUns and he has two rings already. Now Lebron has added excitement and glitz to the NBA reminding us of the days of that 23 guy. Gme five was better than anything we saw in the last five yrs of playoffs. The Bulls are looking like the new Pistons, 5 great pieces that good players who play liike a team. Dontr know why the LAkers dont do everyhing possible to get Kobe some help, I will give you odom, our center and the next 3 first round draft picks for KG, then guys like jason kidd and jemaine o-neal would come to lesser money and incentive based contracts to win a ring. Anyway the finals will be great and the cavs wit hther superstar vs. the business like Spurs. Turtle vs , the Hare.

I think the playoffs are always exciting and this year was no different. Plenty of new tension and drama. Golden State beating Dallas was quite a kickoff. I'm a Mavs fan and I saw what they did to us. It hurts a lot. It was just a freak matchup nightmare but still very exciting basketball. Utah was simply the better team than GS and didn't have the bad matchup issue. Defending Champions losing in a sweep? I don't think anyone saw that coming. Then the Bulls/Pistons matchup was some good energetic ball. Phoenix/San Antonio boiled into a full fledged rivalry. Almost as heated as the Spurs/Mavs last year. (Side note: Horry's hit was hard, but not suspension worthy. Steve Nash was just off balance and totally unprepared for it.) NOw LeBron's elevation tot rue superstar status with his amazing game ending performance is just awesome. This is good stuff.

I think the playoffs have been pretty exciting...Im on record as having been saying (even on yahoo since the early spring) that the Mavs or the Suns would not go far in the playoffs so that is no surprise to me, it is a pleasant surprise however that the Cavs have advanced past Detroit (who will be looking to get tougher inside...and probably miss big ben a lot after watching Lebron dunk or layup 8 times late in game 5 of the last series) ... the Spurs always play at a high level, and I for one am glad the Mavs and Suns got exposed as 'weak interior defenders' who will probably never get titles...

Shantosh stop being so butt hurt. Anyway, how can you not be satisfied? GS beat Dallas, Nash got a gashed up nose and still played like a star. Utah beat GS cause of match up issues like. Too many bigs pounding the boards to get second shots and their D limited GS. I will be honest the EC was boring until the Cavs and Pistons match up. That was fun to watch. I will say though is it the mics or something is the EC arenas quiet or what? Only place in the east that was consistently loud and chanting DEFENSE was the Cavs place in the ECF. I am satisfied with these playoffs.

Very Disappointed. 1st off the eastern Conf is just GARBAGE. If a team below .500 shouldnt even be allowed in the playoffs. If they dont find any other team int he east that is above .500 , western team should automatically qualify to take the spot. Sucks to see Arenas and Butler out with season ending injuries, while medicore team, the CAVS, came and won against the wizards. Had there been arena and butler the Cans wouldnt eben get past the 1st round. Bulls should have made a better effort against the pistons. The pistons and the Cavs games were rigged. NBA simple wants Lebron to be in the finals. He can and is marketted better than the pistons as a whole. Cavs fav s have not ever seen cavs inthe playoff, so more tickets and merchadise sales and more revenue. Same thing happened last year with the heat... League wanted them to win. This year it does not matter, Spurs are going to Whip that a$$.Lebron is going to wish he had better teammates and a supportinf cast that Duncan has.

So, you got lots of surprises in the playoffs, and you are not happy about it? Would you have been happier to get the Mavs and the Pistons in the Finals? either you want exciting, which means that the games are not easily predictable - which has happened. Or, you want predictability of the top teams winning through.
You need to make up you mind about what you want. The playoffs have been very exciting.

How can you not be excited?! This is history, the Cavs have never been in the NBA finals! Lebron James is a beast and Daniel Gibson is a wolf in sheeps clothing! GO CAVS! PS. Don't forget we beat the Spurs in the regular season...

yeah i thought the playoffs were good
i liked the first round upsets
i would have rather seen ...a healthy d. wade play against lebron in the e.c. finals
and seen baron take on mr duncan'
but it was still good
but the spurs jazz games were so boring....they should have never put those games on national tv.
lebron did his thing against the pistons his 48 point game was a nice touch to the series
all the games were close ( well no the last game) which made it a good series

the spurs are doing what they do best, dominating the nba in a dark era. to duncan's credit, at least he will be able say that he earned his rings and that he could have done it anywhere else. can't say the same for the rest of his teammates except robert horry, but we all know how many teams he has led to a championship, ahahahah
