Many Politicians, claim to support the Troops. Yet talk of hatred to other Americans. Our Military, has a Code that they live by. If we wish to honor our Troops. What better way than to treat fellow Americans, as they do?
Show respect, for your fellow man. Just as Soldiers do.
Honor them with a show of pride. As our soldiers do, every day of thier lives.
Support the Troops? Why not support their dignity. And realize how dangerous this hate speech is doing to this Nation.

POINT TO CONSIDER: Several of those that I am talking about? Are answering other questions. With the same language. Yet they refuse to come on here and explain, why.
I only ask how you can be "for the Troops". And not respect others, as the Soldiers do?

Many politicians are too busy arguing among themselves to be of any real support to our soldiers. If they would get off their well fed butts and allocate the funds needed our soldiers could get on with their jobs and get it done. For the most part, our soldiers get more support from the general public than from politicians. For Mochrie, is it ludicrous that you are able to sit at your computer and voice your opinion? If our troops come home before the job is done, I dare say that you might not have that right very long. Drew Blood...Amen , Jess Thunder, I salute you sir. and for Bush invented the go... It's a good thing you aren't a soldier... You'd never make it. Nobody expects you to live the military code, just use some common decency toward others. It doesn't even cost you anything. It;s free. Hats off to the real Americans out there. God bless you.

The first time I ever heard anyone say 'supporting the troops' was the first Gulf War. It was the anti-war crowd, trying to avoid the mistakes they made durring and after Vietnam, when they denigrated, spat upon, and generally expressed unlimitted hatred for anyone in an American uniform. Basically, the phrase was an attempt to sever support for the people fighting a war, from support for the war itself. I'm sure that must have been attempted before, but I'm unaware of it ever being attempted with any great success. If you honestly believe that it's possible to support someone, who's job is to fight a war, who is enaged in fighting a war, and who is putting his life in jeopardy to win a war - /without/ supporting the very thing he's willing to sacrifice his life for, then more power to you, you have a greater fascility for moral hair-splitting than I. (And I'm one cynical *******.) The time to register opposition to a war is before it starts. Once battle is joined, you can still do so - especially in America, where you have the right of free speach - but don't expect kudos for your patriotism as you work towards your nation's defeat.

Support our troops, and respect for others, is what should be going on, every single day I say prayers that GOD will help us through this, and let every man and woman came home safely. And that no one should have to live in fear, whether created by others or the media

Three things I still can't do...

1. Look at the flag without feeling an enormous sense of pride.

2. See a member of the armed forces ( or a veteran) without a feeling of gratitude that I could never repay.

3. Hear the national anthem without getting choked-up.

America...Love it or leave it.

You bet I do. In every way I can. They have my utmost respect.
I treat all people with respect in or out of uniform. I also wish to be treated the same. In this land of the free we need UNITY and we need it NOW. I will do my best to support people on y/a, who use good judgment, in answers with kindness and respectful morals.
I will always consider WWJD before I answer.

Dude... Yes I support our Troops. I always respect others until they give me a reason not to. Usually because of ignorance and hatred. Those two things I will not tolerate!

I have a question in regards to "supporting our troops"......

How can you "support the troops" when you vote to cut off their funding?

How can you "support the troops" when you call them murderers, rapists, terrorists, and when you blame them for civilan deaths?

How can you "support the troops" when you insist that we should cut and run from Iraq because they haven't done a good enough job of winning the war for you?

How can you "support the troops" when you don't support their mission, what they're doing, and when you call their commander in chief horrible names?

Do you REALLY support the troops? If so, then how????

I could not agree with you more. My family and I support our troops. We fly the American flag with respect. This is about AMERICA, not the politicians who happen to be in office at the moment.

We thank people in uniform who we see. They appreciate it. We teach our daughter tolerance of others, but pride in our country and herself.
