I have a couple of predictions, there are many teams out there that can win it all, but I'll name the top three.
1st Match: USC vs. Michigan. Both of these teams have a very powerful offense. USC's QB, John David Booty completed 242 of 391 passes for 2,596 yards, 25 TD's and 9 INT's. The defense however, is scarier. THey have the best secondary in the nation with a very good front seven. With their combo, they can win big. Michigan's Mike Hart is a deadly threat and can got through any defense he comes across. He rushed for 1,562 yards last season, and could be a hiesman candidate this season. Chad Henne passed for 2,508 yards, 22 TD's, and 8 INT's. With that combo, they are liable to kill a defense also. USC might bite on a lot of play action passes, and then a receiver gets a big gain and a FD or TD. Then when they expect the pass after so long, and Hart goes big for a FD or TD also. I see Michigan winning on the offensive side, but with defense...I'm not sure. They lost six starters and defensive coordinator Ron English, has his hands full. Prediction: USC will KILL Michigan's secondary, just like Ohio State did, but USC's defense will not be able to contain all of Michigan's offense. Hart will rush for at least 100 yards, and the passing game could kill USC, if they expect the run to much. My guessing score will be 42-28, USC. USC defense will stop Michigan a couple of time, but Michigan's defense won't do anything to USC, USC out shoots Michigan to take a win.
2nd match: USC vs. Texas. Now you're thinking, "Texas, no way, they don't have anything!" Well, Texas will probably have one of the best offenses in college football. Colt McCoy was one of the best QB's in the nation completing 217 of 318 passes for 2,570 yards (68.2% passes complete), 29 TD's, and 7 INT's, that's better than Michigan and USC. USC (2,596-29-7) Michigan (2,508-22-9) Now, USC DID have more passing yards, but not the accuracy of Colt, and Colt was only a freshman. John's accuracy was 61.6%, compared to a 68.2%. USC's defense is good, but every defense Colt McCoy came across, he killed, an exception to Nebraska and Ohio State. Texas' defense is a lot like Michigan, it needs help. Texas losses five starters on defense and offense, but there is a lot of talent on both sides, and I look for a real potential for Texas being in a NC. Prediction: USC will again, slaughter Texas secondary, and Texas might do the same, but USC will come on top and eventually get Colt, being that USC has the best secondary. Texas might have to come to a running game sometime, and will sink lower than USC. USC comes on top: 35-17. Texas offense get's shutdown, and their D won't contain John.
Texas vs. Michigan. Now, I've mentioned stats on all three teams. If USC somehow doesn't make the NC bid, here is the second NC appearance. I'll go to the prediction already, because I've named stats already.
Prediction: Texas offense will kill Michigan's secondary, leaving Colt McCoy with a lot of options. Michigan won't be able to stop them at all, and they'll fall behind. Texas secondary might not be so swell either, but in the second half, Michigan will do nothing but pass, because Hart won't be able to penetrate the line and the LB's will have him contained. Texas usually doesn't allow the run, having one of the best rushing defenses in the nation, leaving the pass open. I look for Texas on top, Texas demolishing the Michigan defense, and Michigan will be out shot. Final Score: 35-14. Texas. Texas proves they are too much to beat. (If Colt gets hurt, Texas is screwed, flip-flop the score, Texas doesn't know what to do without a QB)

Don't the Bulldogs have like the hardest schedule in the FBS this year? ASU might be overrated but Alabama, LSU, and Florida are still all on their schedule. Add in Tennessee and Auburn and I wouldn't call that an "easy schedule". Georgia had a close call last week at South Carolina... I wouldn't be surprised if they end up 9-3 with the way their schedule is this year, they might not even be in the SEC championship game.

It is really hard to predict who will win the championship until after the conference championship games. So I will break it down to conferences and who I think will be their champions. I will only use the major conferences as I think it is almost impossible for a good mid-major to be considered. Utah and Boise St. have done great things recently, but not enough for them to be considered. Sad thing is, neither of them got to prove it either, Utah played a mediocre Pitt team and exploited that and Boise St. played a decent OU team. Note that I said a decent OU team and from that team, they lost most of their big names which is why I don't see how Tim P can expect them to win the National Championship...but who knows?
I think...
The ACC will have Virginia Tech as its champion and it will be a great story for us all to listen to. But no title game appearance.
The PAC-10 will have USC as its champion and I predict USC to dominate the conference even more so than in the last few years.
The Big East will have Louisville and West Virginia contending and I think Louisville will take it.
The Big Ten will probably be Michigan, but their defense is young and unproven so expect many teams to try to exploit that.
The Big XII is going to be Texas. Last year they should have won, but unexpected things do happen. That is why OU embarrassed the conference with their showing, they weren't a championship caliber team.
The SEC will be a tough grind...again. Favorites for it are probably LSU. Florida is out of the question. Georgia has a couple of RBs that are proven, a QB that came into his own late last season and another RB that is unproven but promising. Also, the Georgia LBs will be speedy this season for the first time in the Richt era and the Bulldogs may have something to say about the SEC championship.
It boils down to conference championships. I think USC will be undefeated and have to wait to see who they will play. Will LSU be undefeated and win the conference? If so, I think LSU will beat USC for the crown. If there is another team in the SEC that goes undefeated, like UGA or Auburn, then that team will beat USC. If someone like Texas, or Michigan somehow sneaks in through the BCS and goes then I predict USC to win it all.

The Oklahoma Sooners. Even though they lost Adrian Peterson to the NFL and lost Paul Thompson their quarterback, they are still loaded and ready to take that next step. Whomever steps up and takes over the starting quarterbacking position, with that experienced offensive line coming back and a bevy of talented and proven running backs along with all the wide receivers returning, the offense should explosive. The defense will be strong, although the question mark is at linebacker, but have talented and capable players chomping at the bit ready to step in. With perhaps the nation's best kicker returning in Garrett Hartley, I think the Sooners are primed and ready to take their spot in limelight again.

Hook'em Horns!!! University of Texas
They have a high powered offense and a friendly schedule. TCU the toughest out of conference game, then not much till Oklahoma. All the tough teams will be played at home except Oklahoma (Dallas) and A&M (kyle feild). Watch out horns are charging for their second title in three years!!!
Texas all the way baby!!!

Im a big Ohio State fan but with their performance in the national championship and the loss of the likes of troy smith and ted ginn jr and antonio pittman, i will have to go with the wolverines. Michigan is stacked and they have 3 heisman runners. Henne Hart and Manningham. Michigan is going to win it straight up with a rematch of the rose bowl against USC

Michigan will have probably the best team in the county but will lose their bowl game because of the way the bowl games are set up. Big ten teams have a month and a half break between the regular season and the bowl games, thats why they always lose.
