My Wireless Router ?

I m having a wireless router.It was working well.I dont know what happen it stops working. Now when i search for wireless from my HP laptop it say "No wireless Found" ..... The STATUS LIGHT IS ALWAYS BLINKING.IT KEEPS BLINKING UNIFORMLY. now i used my second laptop i.e mac even then it dint work....

Last 8 days ,it was working well.also i have lost the driver and software of the router. my router is D-Link 524.

Try to turn off the modem and router and the pcs. Reboot modem, wait 30 seconds or more and then turn on the router, wait another 30 seconds and turn on the pcs.

If you need router manual, firmware, etc, it can be downloaded from internet.

If service does not restore after reboot, connect a wired 10/100 patch cable from pc network port to router wired LAN Port. Make sure pc network port is set to accept IP address automatically. See if you can access internet; if you can, the problem is with the wireless part of the LAN.

If you cannot access the internet, open command prompt (start, run - type in cmd and hit enter). Type in "ipconfig /all" without the quotes and with a space before the / as I showed it. This will show the status of the wireless and wired ports. You should have a LAN IP address for the wired connection. If you do not, there is a problem with the DHCP setting on the router and you will need to fix this on the router. I suspect this will also fix the wireless problem too.

After you can get an IP address with the wired port you probably can get the internet. If you have an IP addrss for the wireless port also when you do the "ipconfig /all" you probably can get the internet on the wirless port.

If you need further advice, write again and tell us what happened when you did the above.
