Some say roomate, some say significant other and I know many live-ins that describe the other as a wife/husband. You could saymy boyfriend/girlfriend, or whatever is comfortable. Your living situation is primarily your business anyawy.

If he is your boyfriend just introduce him as such. You don't have to talk about the living arrangements unless someone asks.

"I'd like you to meet my roomate..."
"This is our nanny..."
"I'd like you to meet my assistant..."
"This is my maid..."
"This is_______, our chauffeur."
"This is _______, a foreign exchange student from _______"
"I'd like you to meet my mother..." :) :)

Whatever YOU call your live in, just use that.
Hope that helps.
