Naturally my hair is exactly the right shade of dark ash blonde/light ash brown to make even Angelina Jolie look mousy.
It's been red for well over 10 years now. I've a great deal of Irish and Scottish ancestry and the right skin tone and requisite freckles to make it look natural.
Most often I find that people are intrigued by it. Both men and women constantly tell me how much they love my hair and wish they could have it (definitely more women say that last bit!). They're shocked when I tell them it's not natural.
Blonde and brown hair are both so common. Blonde even more so because so many people choose that colour. Red is different; it's unusual.
I've heard all the comments about "fiery personalities" and excessive temper but I don't care. I've known quite a few natural redheads and I don't think they're different than anyone else.
Red hair rocks. Even blonde is really just a lighter shade of brown. Red hair sets you apart.
And I, personally, am so completely envious that you don't have to dye it every month or spend the time, money, and effort I did to find the right shade for me.

I am SO fascinated by people with red hair...I'm not talking strawberry blonde/kinda red hair, I mean firey, dark RED hair. I think it's really pretty! A lot of times, the redheads also have freckles, which I think is neat as well. It's a recessive trait and is so rare....I cannot stop staring at redheads!
:-D

Most people think of redheads as sexy or firey-tempered. It gets annoying, but I suppose it's much better than blond jokes. Altho a good friend did send a joke: How can you tell the redhead has been on the computer? By the ax in the monitor.
I went over and axed his monitor. :)

Hey sweetie. I'm a redhead too! And i've asked similar questions on here before. I like my red hair, but I dislike my freckles and the fact I cannot tan. I think red y far is easily the most interesting hair colour. x

1 - Because those with red hair were more likely to sunburn easily. (And they were rare enough to not merit a special word. A lot of our words for hair-color "blond" "brunette" come from French. When was the last time you saw a red-headed French person?) 2 - Because it is better than calling them ginger kids.

Its like any other hair color. Some people look really great with red hair. Others look terrible. Like being grossly overweight and lots of skin blemishes seem to be common. However I prefer redheads if they look good.

I love it too. My hair is dark but bright.
I think it's so funny when people make jokes about fire crotch and stuff, not because it's actually funny, but just because they think they are so original. I mean seriously, they think they're the first one to call me a fire crotch! It's so stupid!
