enlarge the breasts size. The first do it to not hamper the posture. Consequently , those who enlarge their breasts size, expose themselves to danger of hampering their posture. I would appreciate to hear the opinion on the above said from the both sides, if you please...

I am a 32F (possibly bigger now) with breasts that keep growing, whatever I do. I started developing in primary school and have always been a bit self conscious about them. Men talk to them instead of my face and it is always a topic of conversation with friends. They are extremely heavy and I have mild backache and I hunch. I try to walk up straight but it actually is very uncomfortable. They also get in the way when I reach over things and when I have my period, they swell a little as well as hurt like hell, making it difficult to lie in any position. Buying bras is a nightmare - try getting a bra to fit an F is fine but add 32 to it and it's a nightmare!! And they never fit properly so I always get measured whenever I go bra shopping, which I hate as I can be searching for hours and come away with only 1 bra or none at all. I am also nearly out of the size range of La Senza which is a pain and I will now have to buy more expensive bras on the internet. Also, a lot of bras in my range are horrible granny bras - and I'm only 23!! It's difficult being a larger woman.

However, I don't want to be really small either. I would love to get a reduction at some point, but that will still only be to a D or DD. I like the fact that my chest is large - but it is a little too large lol. As someone pointed out above, they make you look fat as clothes are designed for smaller chests. This has made me feel extremely self conscious and I have lost self esteem because of this. Clothes manufacturers have to realise that women's average chest sizes are getting bigger and they should try to accomodate this!

Some people only do it a little bit, and having "larger" breasts is not the same as having "large" breasts. So the posture thing does not apply to every case.

In any case, it is a catch-22 for some women. The funny thing about those who do is that poll after poll suggests that men prefer smaller breasts that are natural over larger breasts that are fake. The majority of men feel this way. BUT... if you have natural small breasts and someone else has natural larger breasts, most men prefer the big breasts. So that puts women in a societal tight spot. Is it right? Of course not, but that is why some women make this decision.

Personally, I don't think that they should enlarge their breasts. It is potentially unhealthy, and it perpetuates a societal value that is illogical and harmful to the esteem of many young women. That said, until society shapes up and starts treating women the same regardless of their breast size, I am afraid it will continue.

I had a bust reduction 3 years ago aged 43 and it really changed my life. Before that I felt uncomfortable and very concious of my bust size. 30GG.
I am not a large person. I weigh 91/2 stone and am 5'4. At school I was teased alot and after my son was born they just got bigger and hung down to my waist. When I went up and down stairs they would go all over the place. I was having to wear size 16 to 18 tops to fit but since my reduction I wear size 10.
People would talk to my breast rather than look in my face at work.
I know lots of people have theirs enlarged and thats ok if it gives them confidence. It is a personal choice however I think small is better.
I was reffered to the hospital by my GP and was able to have my op on the NHS. I have now donated and still do to breast cancer as there were 2 ladies in the ward with me who had had cancer and were having reconstructive surgery which did make me feel humble.
I hope this helps

Big difference in being over a 39 Triple D and wanting to be a 36 c+. Large breasts are painful to women and the weight is about 8-10 lbs sometimes. Posture suffers there!

Extremely large breasts do in fact hamper the posture, as well as cause extreme back pain. Those with breast implants are getting silicone which weighs far less more than tissue and fat. Large breasted women get the reductions for several reasons...inability to find clothing that fits, extremely expensive bras, but most importantly and the number 1 reason: chronic and consistent back ailments. Breast reductions are not only expensive, but consist of major surgeries and hundreds of stitches. Even one year later, the woman must return for "sanding" of the scar tissues around the breasts and nipples. It is painful, expensive and long term, but is done more times for medical reasons than personal reasons.

LOl I think it's because you always want something you don't have. I am large breasted and my back has had issues for years . Large breasts can be uncomfortable, and cause back problems.. especially when you're carrying them around from your teen years. So, often naturally big breasted woman are tired of that, and want to reduce, just so they can be more comfortable, exercising, running, and what not.
Smaller breasted woman may think it's a novelty at some point to enhance their breasts so they get implants. Which consequently can result in WORSE health problems more than benefits...they seem great for a while, but ultimately can result in immune disorders as well as other health hazards, leakage and what not.. Plus just constant upkeep.

I am a DD cup. I am in pretty good shape, so i don't look huge. ( And it's all natural ) If I were any larger however, I would have a reduction. Not just for comfort, but also because people tend to think large breasted women are stupid. I think that one of the reasons for the increase ( no pun intended) of Breast enlargements is that the women today want to be so thin. If you are super thin, there is no fat for breast or behinds, so they starve themselves to look like little boys, but in order not to look like little boys they have to have implants.

I believe that some people do it because they just want to. I know someone who had a reduction done because her mother did it.

My mother never had back problems but I do because I had a back injury when I was a teenager. We're both well endowed.
I get the feeling that I would still have back problems anyway.

I think that it's important to always wear supportive foundations. My back only bothers me if I lift something heavy or the wrong way.

I once had a boyfriend who suggested that I have surgery. So instead, I let him go.

It's a personal choice and surgery is not for everyone.

Most women that get a breast reduction is for medical reasons. Mainly severe back problems. It is very uncomfortable and very painful. My best friend just had a reduction done. It is amazing how many problems she was having due to her huge breasts. It was definitely worth it for her. She is no longer in pain.

Most women who decide to get a breast enlargement do it because they are not happy with what they have and feel the need to get bigger breasts for their own happiness. No medical reasons here. I would never choose this route. I'm happy with what God gave me.

Women enlarge their breast size for more confidence....I guess. It makes them feel better and more pretty ...Maybe they want guys oogling over their breasts??? Or, maybe they just want to be more portioned out...
Women reduce their breasts for health reasons...bad back, etc....
every woman is different, so every woman has her own reasoning... But thats prob an average reasoning of why most do it! Also, a lot of people in general are not happy with what they've got!
