All the time. I think it is good exercise.
Let me put it this way: when you are being told that you are without value, you can either agree or disagree. Agreeing gives value to the other person from yourself ("they are right... I DO suck"), while disagreeing takes value from the other person into yourself ("what a fool to think I have no value").
If you are doing it to yourself, it doesn't change the equation much... perhaps substituting the entire universe as the 'other person'. But here's the key point - it's not the belittling that is intrinsically bad, but rather how you may react to it... whether you agree or disagree.
If your ego is sure and resilient, then you cannot possibly accept the idea that you are without value. If you are the source of the idea, the outcome can only be humour. You KNOW you have value, so the idea that you don't is actually funny.
And THAT is why I belittle myself. Whenever I don't find it funny, I know that I have work to do!

All the time even up to now, the thing is for me it has become a habit because of my insecurities within myself and because of fear.
I guess one sample of belittling is when I am in my high school, i see my other friends that can play basketball pretty darn well, i am someone who plays just for the sake of fun, so i always feel down when it is on our physical education subject, because my grades are just average.
Now i am in my working, i still feel low when i remember my high school days.

I use to do it alot in the past and every once in a while if I do something stupid. Low self esteem can make you feel that way. Just remember your a somebody, not a nobody. What you say and do is as important as anyone elses. :o)

I use to before, I sought help from Behavior Health. I feel I could not do anything right, and I use to tell myself that all the time, now, I can't stop saying, 'You Go Girl, You Did It.'
Have a good day.

I try to do so to keep my ego in check so that I can learn to accept things as they come... an experiment to achieve stable happiness which would not be so fragile as to get shattered at the first unfavorable event that takes place.

I used to
No body would care if I'm gone, because I'm useless! That was long time ago about 2 years ago, but not anymore. Because people made me feel that way, that's why I feel that I am.

Over the last couple of years, I have gotten into the habit of talking highly of myself, giving myself praise when appropriate and telling me i love me...!! No... im serious!
It feels good to talk good about yourself, to praise yourself, and to tell you that you love... um... you.!
Try it..!! Its ok to love yourself :) It feels beautiful...
