I am a member of an african drumming group. When we are playing and are in sync, I can often hear voices entwined with the music. I don't understand what they are saying, they are a different language (African perhaps?) It only happens to me. Does this mean anything? I am not crazy!! Is there a significance? Has any one else had it happen to them? Thanx!

I've had a similar experience in a very different context. It also involves unity. I was part of a partially improvisational singing/worship group, and when it was really working, I would hear other voices joining in with us.

We'll all use different language to explain it, but the record of human experience tells us that when we are in one accord with each other, we are somehow opened up to the oneness from which we come.

You are getting to the root of the music on a spiritual level.
See if you can remember some of the phrases you hear, then look for an african language book to see if you can translate them.

there are Spirits who talk to certain people who are ready to receive enlightenment. try to remember what you hear and look the words up in a dictionary or Internet to determine what they are saying. or ask them if they might be willing to communicate in a different time or form.
