Arizona Diamondbacks :

This team is VERY strong in pitching, and "good pitching beats good hitting". The D-Backs have a higher winning percentage than the Milwaukee Brewers, who are also in first place in their division.

The reason Arizona is my first choice and Milwaukee is second is because they are doing all this winning with VERY low payrolls, and young players.

The Boston Red Sox also have great pitching, and have been playing out of their minds, but they have had a healthy team all year and a HUGE payroll.

The NY Mets also have a huge payroll, but have been doing a lot of winning while starting bench players over their injured starters.

And of course there is the NY Yankees who have the highest payroll, terrible pitching, and the best offense to NOT hit in MLB. The only reason I give the Yanks any credit is because they have had more injuries than a bus crash.

If you go by numbers. Its got to be the Detroit Tigers. Or at least the best offense. But the Tigers have to be in the top 2 or 3 best teams in the MLB

Now I am a HUGE Jays fan but i know when to keep it real. The Boston Red Sox are currently the best and most dominant team around. PERIOD!

The Boys from Beantown, the Red Sox...I just hope they can keep this pace throughout the year because history shows a 10.5 game lead isn't enough in the A.L. East

D-backs. They took a series with the Mets, and watch as they beat the Red Sox and Yanks in interleague play this week and next week.
