Well, you're still around to ask this question, so that would be a positive, at least from your perspective. Since Iraq has become the central front in the war on terror (the terrorists words, not mine) they've become a little to busy there to blow you up here. A fledgling democracy in Iraq, accountable to the people. Hardly perfect, but these things take time. If you're asking specifically about Americans lives, well, the stock market at all time highs, unemployment at the lowest rate, taken as an average, than any decade of the last four. That includes the decade that was presided over by your hero, Bill Clinton. Revenue to the government at all time highs. All thanks to the Bush tax cuts. Gas prices are high for sure, but when adjusted for inflation, not even close to all time highs, and certainly not being rationed like happened during previous wars (along with sugar, flour,etc.etc.). Listen, if nothing positive has happened in your life lately pal, it's your fault. Not the wars. You need to get off your butt and get a new attitude.

I don't know what I will do if I hear there have not been any more terror attacks on our soil since 9/11 as a positive to the war in Iraq. Please, do some research. Since 1980 how many terrorist attacks from the middle east have we had on our soil? Like 3? That's like one every 10 years at least. So if we have had 4 attempts (Fort Dix, Shoe bomber, JFK, and those other 4 idiots in Chicago a few years back) in the past 5 years, shouldn't we consider that an increase in attempts?
Truth be told the terror attacks across the world are up 400% since we attacked Iraq. Not all are a direct cause of the Iraq war, but many are.
No Americans have benefited from the Iraq War except those owning stock in oil companies.

A lot of people taken in by the propaganda machine of right wing radio have now realized that the 'king has no clothes'. Republicans now know that 'real Republicans' like Eisenhower and even Richard Nixon were a better choice for the party than the reactionaries that hijacked the GOP. Even St. Reagan and Bush the Elder had some grip on reality. It's going to be a long time to undo the damage done by the 'Bushocrats'. It's going to be a longer time to repay all of the borrowed money spent to fight this BushWar for Oil in Iraq. It will take even longer than that for the pain of this political 'civil war' between the so-called red and blue states to diminish. I think the positive thing here is that people now know that the United States is good only if it's 'united'. The idea of allowing talk radio propagandists to divide us by slurs, insults, ad hominum, strawman and red herring arguments is objectively evil. The purpose of our government is to do right by the american people so that this country can do good in the world. The sooner the Iraq war hawks of the Bush Junta are gone, the better off we'll be. Maybe then we can really deal with Terror Inc. Maybe then we can deal with a range of pressing domestic issues. Maybe then we can get our country back. Let us pray!

I have to laugh at the only Republicans who even TRIED to answer the question with, "No more terrorists in the US since the war", which isn't exactly proving anything.
There have been no new reports of Crop Circles in London, England since the US invaded Iraq, does that mean fighting the terrorists in the Middle East has scared off potentially hostile aliens?
Uri Gellar has not bent ONE spoon with his mind since we invaded. My cat hasn't coughed up one furball since the war began, I live in Arizona, it's June and it's only 80, the coolest June since we invaded Iraq.
Do you see the point I'm making here? The recent planned (well, IN planning) attack on the fuel line to JFK Airport in NYC kinda goes to prove there could be an attack tomorrow on US soil from any direction. The lucky fact this group of dimwits tried to recruit an FBI informant to help them SORTA me know they weren't a well organized or funded terrorist cell, working in league with Al-Qaeda, or any other terrorist group with a grudge against perceived American imperialism. In fact, I'm willing to bet, it will come out these guys were going to do this for some kind of ransom, not terrorism, but extortion, but I culd be entirely wrong. As a terrorist thing, it just didn't seem that practical.
Frankly, as much of an impact as the airplanes attacks on the WTC on Sept 11 made on the American psyche, can you imagine the shock and the outrage of the American people, had those Al-Qaeda terrorists instead driven their hijacked planes into DisneyWorld or Six Flags, killing untold numbers of families and children? Or how about the Hoover Dam? That's destruction which keeps on affecting the lives of untold millions who depend on that dam as not only a source of immence power generation, but literally the drinking water for millions of people in Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico. They could have driven those aircraft into any number of completely unprotected nuclear power generating stations dotted all across the US, had the cores breached, the resulting radiation contamination would last for approximately 60 years, rendering cast swatches of America not only unliveable forevermore infertile for crop raising.
No country in the world would attack the US in such a manner and then not have any plan in place for the aftermath of the attack. I mean, what did the terrorists THINK was going to happen" They HAD to figure we would invade anyone, EVERYONE, to get whoever was responsible in custody. And apparently, the twin attacks in both NYC and Washington were the only bolts Al Qaeda had in their quiver. Which makes me wonder, ok, then why attack at all? The outcome was pre-ordained: They cannot think such attacks would completely demoralize the US; indeed, I would think they should have COUNTED on a huge groundswell of blind US patriotism, but blind patriotism doesn't advance their beliefs, so why make us feel all Patriotic? Or DID it have to do with advancing their plans?

yes..
sorry I was going to leave it as just that word but I would feel guilty (lol... yes!! i would...!)
the world has been remined (BIG TIME) hat you don't wake the sleeping bear - especially when that bear has teeth!
no terrorist attackson us soil - when the terrorist can just take a bus trip to iraq to try to kill americans [ but they find out quickly that he troops shoot back so they just kill iraqi's... making them look like the hypocritic pricks they are) - so it is a lot safer in the US
people complain re oil prices are going up - well prices are going up everywhere for most things ! that is the way of the world - prices don't really go down.....
what about the installation of democracy in iraq? to give them a chance to help with their own destiny without having a dictatorship like the reast of the middle east

The board of directors for Halliburton and Raytheon are reaping huge bonuses due to the war. Other than that, not one thing has been worth the cost of Bush's uranium-document-lie based war.
