It definitely was Green Grass and High Tides from their first album. It's a little under 10 minutes, I think, on the studio album. I know when I saw them back in the early 80's, they played that song for over 20 minutes.

Green Grass and High Tides. I've seen the Outlaws do a version using seven guitar players. They where known as the guitar army.

Live or in studio? I know a long studio song by them is called Green Grass and High Tides, but I'm not sure if its 12 mins long.
