I have both final Fantasy III and Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. I love the Final Fantasy series but I was disappointed in III, its a decent game, but not the greatest, I still haven't beaten it yet.
Pokemon diamond, I liked it. I beat it in less than two weeks (I had exams) and I really enjoyed it, it was hard to put down. It also has more replay value than the Final Fantasy games usually have.
I like the Final Fantasy series more than Pokemon, but in this comparison, Pokemon Diamond is probably your better bet. Its a good addition to the series.

Both are good. Final Fantasy is really repetative though unless you frequently change jobs (which i didnt do, Dragoon, Ninja, White Mage, Summoner pretty much whole way through). Pokemone will keep you busy for the whole summer which could be good or bad depending on the way you look at it.

i have both and i think pokemon diamond is better. final fantasy 3 is good but it gets boring.

FF3 is a great game. I don't know which one is better because I don't have Pokemon Diamond yet, but I'll get it soon.

i agree with jay_ jay i don't own a ds or diamond & pearl yet
but i'm really dying 2 play.
