Absolutely not!

Why would they open your door for a fire drill? That is a lame excuse.

if they are searching the campus in the event of a fire alarm then yes, just because the fire alarm is always false alarming it doesnt mean that every alarm is a false one. On the other hand if there isnt any kind of fire alarm then no theyre not

Afraid so. As you are living in a communal setting your 'rights' to privacy are less than you might suppose in the first instance. If the fire alarms are constantly being tripped I'd raise this through the Students Union and try to work with the University to address the issue.

It's not for us to select a particular death door. But, if you ask which one is acceptable and honorable, I'd say the door, that we reach doing some good for humanity - Eg, soldiers fighting for our country, a social worker working for the upliftment of some category of people, a health personnel doing some life saving work, a writer/artist etc having created a masterpiece to touch the hearts of the multitude....Do you need more examples? I personally believe that one must march towards death with a selfless attitude. That's what I'd call acceptable and honorable.

Of course they can, they have to check that you're out of the room, and that there's not a fire in your room. Would you rather they left you to burn or suffocate in the event of a real fire? No-one knows until everything's been checked whether it's real or false.

I would think they would have to give a quick knock and announce themselves, but in certain instances I would say yes they can, but if this is a constant problem with the alarms I would say no.

By law they have to check if everyone in the building has gotten out. They are just looking after your safety. If it is a big issue, rent someplace of campus with a few of your fellow students.
