yankees could use his bat ;but how well does he play off the bnch ;have to look atthe numbers and there are not to many cause he started so much. thae fans love him and damon can use a good backup so ide say yes also damionis prone to injury GET HIMBACK also hes a switch hitter

Oh very definitely yes! There is more to baseball than stats. Bernie is a class player, good for chemistry on the team (the # 1 element missing for the Yankees in the last 7 or 8 years), and is a Yankee in the best sense of the word. Class is one thing Steinbrenner and the Yankees profess to shoot for, but lack in totally. Bernie should be back. Let HIM decide to retire.

Bernie Williams may just have something to say about that, and I believe he will NEVER play again for the Yankees because they do not deserve him!!

It would be a great move and bring some class back to the Yankees. However class and Brian Chasman don't go well together. So they won't do it and Bernie will ride off into retirement.

You'll be hard pressed to find someone who likes Bernie Williams as much as I do. Our dog is named after him. That being said its time to move on, and give Melky the time. Bernie had an invite to camp and he opted not to go to camp.

He was definately on the downhill side for the lst few years, and it really, eally showed last season. It would only be worse now.
Bernie Williams needs to understand that and formally reture, so that the Yankees can finally honour him.

enough with old stiff. they need major youth movement on their roster. Bernie can get a job as bat boy coach and work his way up the rankings.

uhm yes!!! i loved bernie williams and i think that he is a more reliable dh than giambi. and also hes not on steroids or anything so thatll be better too.
