Do you clean your own home, or hire someone to do it?
I would love to hire someone if I had the money, but on the positive side, I'm lucky enough to have a hubby who hates a messy house and helps me out a lot. I refuse to clean the bathrooms (I'm not the one that pees on the seat, so I shouldn't have to clean it), and lucky for me- he agrees and cleans them!
Just wondering where everyone else is on this subject.

I hate cleaning. If I could afford to pay someone to do it then I would.
Ah well, maybe I'll win the lotto or something, lol.

I don't but I would love to. My aunt and uncle do, but they have some money to blow, besides their house is pretty good size and they have a hard time getting around sometimes, so it is good they have someone to help them with things. They get around, but all the bending over and scrubbing required would be quite a toll on them.

I did twice paid a friend to come help me clean, when they were short on money, and when I was feeling completely overwhelmed with an aparment turned absolutely upside down.

You know even if I could afford to have someone clean for me I don't think I would do that. I remember my parents hiring maids when I was a kid and them stealing from us. I try my best to keep a clean house.

I hire someone to clean. I had to fire one maid who misbehaved badly while intoxicated. I do not have time for such mundane activities. I often work 20 hours daily, 7 days weekly on my books I write and my paintings. I had kidney surgery, so it is not wise to bend over much, and one must do that in cleaning. I can afford to hire help.

My mom has someone 1 day a week, and her house always looks so polished. My mom does the things like laundry, drawers, closets, etc. and then the cleaning lady does dusting, vacuuming, dishes, beds, etc.. When you walk in you don't see a thing out of order.
I clean constantly, but I never get that completely finished look. It is always a work in progress!!

We pay someone and it really dosen't cost that much. But when we do hire someone we also have to clean, b/c we do live there afterall.

For you I would hire someone only if you really wanted, considering you have a husband that helps clean. Sounds like a good setup.

Our house is usually pretty clean, thanks to my hubby. He's kind of a neat freak. When I was single I'd come home to a messy house because it never occurred to the boys to do a single thing. But now I come home and everything looks great. The downside is, I can never find anything because he sticks things in random places.

Not only do I clean my own home, but I dont even get paid to do it!

Of course I get to stay home, not work and play on Yahoo all day, so there are a few perks!
