Many people are liars, just telling you what they want you to hear for a purpose of their own, while deceiving you into thinking that they are telling you the truth.
If something should make a person angry, if he found that that sort of things were done to him, that would certainly be it - no one likes to be deceived in a manner like that.
However, we have to realize that there are many honest people at the same time, knowing that when they say something to someone, that they owe that person the truth if that person believes the truth is being told to them (tall tales are a different matter, since what is being related is not presented as something serious and truthful as the liar does).
There are both liars and honest people in the world, simply because both bad and good people exist in this world.
It is simply a matter of the division between people who are only out for themselves, while exploiting others for their own advantage (which very often involves deception), and those who are interested in the greater good and the principle of justice for its own sake (often to the point of sacrifice for these people).

yes - my subconscious is always outsmarting my conscious and then I do things like lie or tell a half truth, I don’t realize until after the fact that I have lied.
no - there is no such thing as a truth it is all perspectives and angles of interests casting hand shadow on the cave wall. Even if there was an absolute truth our minds would not see it for what it is. But what there is, is intention. And some people do have good intentions all the time.

I think people lie because they don't think before they speak & tend to exagerrate everything. But yes, everyone has told a lie or two or three in their lifetime. It's human nature.

Trick question. If I say yes, therefore I'm not lying. If I say no, then I'm lying. Tricky.
