no myradar detector dont go of when I pass a douhnut shop.But it does go of when i pass the pharmacy. Thats because the alarm system the donught shop is using works on the same frequency of your radar detector. plus the police are always at the doughnut snop with their radar on thats why your radar detector is chirping
