Two wrongs don't make a right. Although this person was clearly (if this was a deliberate act) a nasty piece of work, they were still someone's family. I know it's very hard to get your head around, and more so, your heart, if you've lost someone at the hands of someone else, but killing this person would make you almost as bad as them, especially in the eyes of those that loved them. I gues it's a very hard thing to reconcile your emotional response with your gut instinct, but in many ways prison is the best option. Wouldn't you rather they spent everyday regretting what they had done than going out a martyr to their own cause?

Think of it this way; you feel like crap because you have lost someone you love too soon. Well if you take the law into your own hands you will be taking someone elses loved one away from them... everyone is someone's son, daughter, mum, dad etc so why would you want to inflict everything you are feeling onto someone else. It wouldn't make you any better than the person who killed your loved one but you would be alive and rotting in prison knowing you are just like the person who killed them.
Also, if everyone thought like that then there wouldn't be anyone left would there?

I saw a programme on crime investigation about the riverside killer who murdered over 50 women in a crime span lasting more than twenty years
everyone of the victims had a relative at the trial and spoke harshly toward the killer and then one elderly man got up and forgave him
the hardened killer suddenly felt his empathy and started to sob uncontrollably when before he was unemotive.
I was so moved by this and thought deeply as the way this elderly man carried himself and what he had done, knowing not many would do the same
I have heard that Budhist monks if attacked pray for the sins of the attacker to be forgiven even while they are being tortured and killed.
I would like to think I was capable of this.

Call the police and let them deal with it. I don't believe that you should take the law into your own hands, this is because it could turn out worse for you

Well I have to say, if they were capable of killing one person they would be capable of killing me too. I'd have to get the police involved. Why let the rest of my family suffer 2 deaths? The second one being due to my own stupidity.

torture them..so that they would feel the pain that I was feeling...i would call the police a later ( maybe weeks later) I wouldn't kill them...i would want them to live in fear and pain for what they did. I would make sure they thought about it daily. Like they would have to write me letter everyday talking about what they did while they were in jail.

Call the police and get them sent down. If you take the law into your own hands then you'll be the only one going to prison, and your hypothetically deceased loved one wouldn't want that for you would they?

Personally i think i would do the same back to them. I don't think i could control my anger and hate.
But then again, maybe i would inform the police. Its hard to say for definite until your put in that situation. Then if they got away with it , then I would kill them.

I would call the police because even though I might want them to go thru the same my loved one went thru, it is not worth me going to jail in order to satisfy that feeling.
