Dear Yellowstonedogs,
I was born and raised in Minnesota, USA.
I kept thinking that life would be so much more exciting on either coast than it was in the upper midwest.
As an adult I've lived in Georgia, California and Connecticut so I've lived on both coasts and I finally learned that the very BEST place to live is in the STATE of being present where I am.
Yeah MN!
Yeah GA!
Yeah CA - wait a minute - the beaches and Disneyland any time we wanted were great but the smog, the LA freeways and the San Fernando Valley earthquake of 1971 weren't so great!
Yeah CT!

I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida.
I love the beaches, the sand and the sunshine.
There is always a festival of some sorts going on that is either free or cheap enough to attend. This weekend was the Taste of Pinellas to benefit All Children's Hospital. There were vendors from 40 restaurants and live music. Friday night was Peter Frampton.....(yea I just showed my age)
Free to enter, small price for food samples. But there is always something going on.
Then there are all the big name theme parks that are no more than 2 hours away.....
I love my home town.

Illinois is all right, and I love Chicago!! There's always stuff to do, even if you're strapped for cash. There's the beaches on Lake Michigan, there's many theatres where you can take your pick of seeing independent films or the big budget movie of the summer; restaurants representing several different nationalities are everywhere, and if you can't think of something to do, you could pick up a (free!) copy of the Chicago Reader and see the listings of all the different things
that are going on for the week!!

I live in Miami, FL. I love the state, the weather is nice, some beaches are beautiful as well as the northern inland cities, like Gainesville. I can't stand living in Miami, though. Housing is outrageously expensive as well as property taxes and insurance, drivers are rated #1 in rudeness, and I don't speak Spanish very well. We're only here because my husband has a great job...in Ft. Lauderdale, lol.
I love your Avatar.

FIRST - I LOVE Living in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The greatest and kindest nation on earth.
Wisconsin is a beautiful place to live with it's inland lakes, 4 seasons, and Lake Michigan.
I grew up a half block from Lake Michigan. It was wonderful.
I live in a subdivision that abuts a conservancy and I have dear, and coyotes running through my yard all the time. Not to mention the many types of birds outside my window. I love it.

I live in Michigan. I like how I am close to a source of water and if I feel like going out on a boat, I can. If I wish to visit another country, I can go over to Canada without any problems. The summers are usually pretty nice.
Just wish there were enough jobs here to keep our citizens employed.

My state (Washington), I like most everything about it, except for the governor, she's a real piece of crap! My city isn't that big so it's a nice quiet place to live. I can drive to a store or a fast food restaurant in about 5 to 7 minutes.

I like that I've seen most of the state, at least in part, but I'd love to move from Vic to Qld.
I'd leave the Garden state for the Sunshine state in a heartbeat...
